i don`t see any difference this season than last,we are far to easy to play against, negative in our approach and to soft mentally,as a squad we ar`nt fit enough either, after an hour last week the whole squad dropped a level and were blowing like steam trains

I feel that Mowbray has turned us into this.

A small time mentality that he is bringing to the club that Jack did everything in his power to remove. Managing Boro and Celtic must have gone to his head.

We are a town club but we are not a small-town, small-time one.

Players never “ready” to play, the club “only just a year out of League One”, “building slowly”. He is a dinosaur of old school football with its “grand old” clubs like Newcastle and Arsenal. Imagine if he ever took us up? We’d be mullered every week - and that’s just by the mighty Watfords and Brightons. I daren’t even contemplate a derby with that lot!

Didn't we play that lot in the League Cup soon after relegation. Mowbray lost a lot of credibility by picking a weak side and throwing the game.

Gareth Ainsworth would be a good shout for many reasons in my opinion:

    - Relatively Young, hungry and desperate to succeed

    - Has 380 games in management at unfashionable clubs, with a win rate of above 40%

    - Has a promotion on his CV

    - Is currently flying high in League One, not many places below us in the pyramid after spending no money and gets the most possible out of his resources

    - A Blackburn lad and Rovers fan. He would be willing to come here.

Brentford took Dean Smith from Walsall so I don't know why this couldn't work also.

@J*B Can you add Gareth Ainsworth.

Can you remember a time our defence hasn't come under scrutiny?

There is no appetite for defensive signings. Liverpool have shown that when you put together a good defence the rest of the team falls into place. Attackers aren't under pressure to score 3 every game, although with a very good defence they do tend to be more likely to do so anyway.

If the promotion of Mark Venus, or whatever it is, then I only hope he presses the need for defensive reinforcements.

The Alan Spratley incident at Ewood and the Jim Brown one a few years later.

Rovers fans, chanting Kingsley Read's Blue and White Army on the London underground in the 70's.

Paul Agnew saying on Radio Lancs that  " the emergence of Jason Lowe" was the reason for Salgado losing his place....

"Such a great club, ruined by dark business."

I'd like to see Holtby alongside Travis. This seems to be the most popular choice on here. 442 please:

    Walton

    Nyambe - Lenihan - Williams - Cunninham

    Rothwell - Travis - Holtby - Downing

    Dack - Armstrong

    Come on Tone.
