  1. $traight outta Pun£ton.
  2. I've just been catching up on the weekend goals from the weekend. I was going to say there was some pretty poor goalkeeping on display. I thought Randolph's was bad enough, but then I saw . . . https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/championship/11568959/rudds-through-the-legs-howler I don't think I've ever seen a worse one. No bobble, just unbelievably poor. Incidentally Lenny Johnrose was just on radio Lancs saying that none of Preston's goalkeepers are good enough and that they are both no.2's (though not sure if that had a double meaning, lol). Imagine if we'd have played a striker against Preston, someone that actually had a shot on goal.
  3. This further adds weight to those that think boxing is a joke sport. It's no wonder Joshua didn't want to fight there. It's such a pity that such a great fight ended in WWF. Boxing is game and a joke NOT a sport.
  4. Fortunately (possibly) I'll only be checking the score of today's match (as I'm off to Manchester by horse and cart - due to the usual appalling weekend transport links + extra rail strike). I just can't see how our defence could suddenly become good. Our best hope of a draw (even a sneaky win) is if Sheff W come here negatively and play for a point. So without seeing the team - if they come and play for a win I'll go for 1-2 to Sheff.W as they will score if they attack enough. It's a license to print money - which will at least lessen the blow of the score.
  5. It's worrying that the 90s now looks like the 70s. Particularly those 1995 clips in the 'square box' format. ?
  6. Last chance for 3 points in 2018? Or will this be a completely drab bore draw at best (more than likely a defeat), then we'll put the 'better teams' to the sword in December when Mowbray's rating is at it's lowest? There are a lot of teams in The Championship with Bi-polar tendencies and we are amongst them. The last 2 shocking performances might just have convinced me to go to a gig in Manchester instead of attending this game. That and the memory of the last time I saw us play Sheff Weds at home 2-3 seasons ago; I remember it being an absolute stinker!! Fresh from my exact score forecast last time out, stay tuned for my license to print money prediction before kick-off.
  7. Before the Preston game TM was on the radio saying something like he 'teaches the dark arts of defending' (i.e. - sly fouling). It made me wonder if that's why we give so many penalties away - Leniham came to mind.
  8. Good idea, let's get Tony to give him the cursed Tombola back.
  9. Raya - 7 Nyambe - 1 Rodwell - 1 Mulgrew - 1 Bell - 1 Smallwood - 1 Evans - 1 Reed - 1 Armstrong- 1 Dack - 1 Graham - 1 Williams - 0 Brereton - 1 Conway - 3 (only on for 15 minutes) Windass 8
  10. What's this team spirit we've been hearing so much about? Whisky? Vodka? Gin?
  11. Don't forget Wigan are really good at home. It's a difficult place to come.
  12. It really is drab. We are like a vastly inferior team playing against Man City that has decided to try and take a 2 to 3 goal loss.
  13. We've obviously been terrible, but I must say the officiating again has been appalling. The VAR for Premier league only next season will further create a division between the leagues.... professional to amateur level.
  14. Come on floodlight failure. You're our only hope.
  15. If football was all done by mouth we'd all be earning £300'000 a week.
  16. That's how you take a penalty, any less on it and that would have been saved. I did say 3-1, but wonder if we'll get anywhere near their goal...unless they ease off at 3-0 late on. This is reminding me of relegation season under Keano.... Where you didn't think we had a chance of a result in almost every game we played.
  17. Wigan are showing why they are Champions of league 1. Unfortunately we aren't anywhere near close to showing we were runners-up in that same division. I wonder what Tony's Tombola has in store for us.
  18. Amazing defending from Windass.
  19. Smallwood is poor isn't he. The 3rd Wigan chance following the corner just about summed him up at this level.
  20. Perhaps that sums up Tony's 'we need several ways of playing' philosophy. Some good skill, passing then a diabolical hoofball out of play.
  21. I signed in. Though it's a bit strange (same on Saturday), I have a foreign expats subscription though I'm currently back in the UK - I couldn't actually sign in using a non UK VPN - I had to turn that off, sign in using the UK ip then re-connect the foreign VPN to stream the game. Picture is shit though.
