  1. Tim Sherwood used to live in Bromley Cross and dined in the Anaz in Darwen and the Red Lion at Blacksnape on a regular basis back in the day. He was always a really approachable bloke, happy to chat and seemed to genuinely love the club and the area. So I was particularly sad at the way he left the club, he fairly stabbed Roy Hodgson in the back by all accounts.

But he is and will be the only man to lift the premier league trophy in a Rovers shirt in my lifetime.

I know what you mean, but just feel like Plymouth could dig deep and grind something out.

We played them both at Ewood within a week recently, and Plymouth looked like the better of the two sides... though I suppose that could be more down to how "Jekyll and Hyde" we are.

But that's the thing with the championship. Apart from perhaps the top 3 or 4 teams and maybe the bottom 1 or 2, we are all completely unpredictable. QPR fans said we were the best team they have played at this level for years after we won at their place, but I doubt that Bristol City fans would recognise that description.

Whilst we are on the subject of “ Adidas “ Samba trainers. I bought a pair a while ago. Black leather with a sort of corrugated tongue. They squeak like nothing on earth when you wear them. It’s that bad Mrs Shoelaces has refused to let me wear them when we go out together ! The problem is the tongue. Anybody else come across this issue and if so - how did you cure it ? I’ve tried talcum powder and it only works for so long.

Ah right when my missus said “put some talc on your tongue” I assumed she meant it gave her extra sensation?! 😬

Thought you'd all be wearing Adidas Sambas after the Prime minister wore them at an interview. It always makes me laugh when someone like a politician tries to be cool like that and fails. Anyone remember William Hague in a baseball cap?

I wear Sambas for work. I got some stick when that fucking clown had the same shoes on!

  5. I’m not really a fan of Spezials (either the shoes or the clothing) and much prefer the old school Adidas stuff.
I’m off to see From the Jam at Glasgow Barrowlands on Saturday and I’ll be wearing my trusty Adidas Japan trainers with a pair of Levi 510s and this top:

For the first time in 30 years of watching Rovers with my 76 year old Dad, he's suggested not going on Saturday and just going for a walk instead and turning his phone off, it's that bad. He's usually pretty pragmatic and optimistic even at the worst time, always siding with the players, but I think that second half finally did for him. After the match we both just stared into space over our pints.

Not felt this low for a very long time, it's a different kind of feeling - think it's the lack of hope or trust in anyone at the club from players to board level, feels like a truly lost cause.

A heartbreaking post, and I'm sure it is the way many of us are feeling right now mate.

But ultimately that goal is agains the rules if it is ruled out, so not valid goals.

Pre VAR there would hardly have been a murmur about that goal and that includes Utd fans. It was a marginal offside. Some will go for you and some against you. The ‘purity’ of decisions is simply not worth the removal of the spontaneity of the joy of celebrating a goal. If you have ever experienced it ‘live’ at a game it literally sucks all the enjoyment out of it. I’d scrap it tomorrow, with the exception of goal line technology, which gives an immediate decision.
