  1. Wife's  Diary:

Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird.  We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner.

I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late,
but he made no comment on it.

Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk.
He agreed, but he didn't say much.

I asked him what was wrong; He said, "nothing."

I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset.

He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it.

On the way home, I told him that I loved him.

He smiled slightly, and kept driving.  I can't explain his behaviour.
I don't know why he didn't say, “I love you, too.”

When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore.
He just sat there quietly, and watched TV.  He continued to seem distant and absent.

Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed.  About 15 minutes later, he came to bed.
But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else.  He fell asleep; I cried.
I don't know what to do.  I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else.  My life is a disaster.

Who the fuck loses to Ross County??

The trial went on for months,  did you guys really watch all of it or just the highlights?

The odds on it being a frame up job by neo nazi policemen are even higher. This was two years after the Rodney King riots and three years before the Rampart Scandal broke. All the same police department.

Of course joe blogs would be convicted on less evidence, joe blogs doesn't have any money.

As for the shoes, there was never any record of him buying or owning a pair of them.

Also, how long does it take for spinach to digest? That's quite important.

Why did he not only get changed but ‘lost’ the clothes he had been wearing that night?

Did he anticipate the neo-nazi police were about to frame him?

Support for Celtic and Rangers isn’t based on Geography in Scotland, but about identifying with a club that represents your religious and sectarian views. It’s the same in N.Ireland. The vast majority of Catholics in Scotland support Celtic for this reason, every unionist and Catholic hater supports Rangers, but not all non Catholics do. As long as both clubs exist, this tribalism will continue, and in Britain’s divided society it is getting worse. Away fans are not now allowed to attend Old Firm games, a sad indictment on the way things are going.

While this is true there are also a significant number of what we would call ‘glory hunters’.

I would also wager that most Celtic fans have never seen the inside of a chapel, likewise the other lot and a church.

Bit of an overreaction from ARA there. 😅 Of course that wasn’t aimed at exiled fans that obviously keep connected/keep supporting their motherland team.

It was aimed at the towns of Scotland that empty with folk off to Glasgow every weekend as their home town clubs’ grounds (in decent sized towns) rattle around with one man and his dog in them).

    This.
I used to work in Motherwell and there is a mass exodus of old firm fans leaving the town in droves whenever Celtic or Rangers are playing. I’m sure places like Paisley, Greenock etc are the same.
If even a fraction of them went to Fir Park (or St Mirren Park or Cappielow) instead it would make such a difference to those town teams. Rovers have the same problem with United and Liverpool and have had for 50 years.

But it seems worse/more obvious in Scotland.

What did you see to convince you that the jury verdict was incorrect?

The DNA evidence alone was overwhelming. Then when you realise that he had conveniently disposed of other incriminating evidence (clothes that he had been wearing on the night etc) but the clincher for me was the Bruno Magli shoes. The odds on it being anyone other than OJ Simpson that committed those murders was literally billions to one.

Joe Bloggs would have been convicted on much less evidence than that and like @Gav I watched the trial live at the time as it was fascinating.

In other news I see Weller's got a new record out. 66.

Not out yet mate. Released on his 66th birthday at the end of May (hence the title).

He's playing KGH on Tuesday for those lucky enough to have a ticket. I’m coming down for it ✊🏻🍻

For all those in disgust that we're giving Wednesday 7k and not just shoving them in the DE Upper, I beg you don't go onto Rovers facebook.....but i'll put a taste below to help you pull your hair out:

"Another £175k plus food and drink, should spur us on more to put the ball in the net"

"Our best performance in years was in front of 7k geordies"

"How can we expect players to believe we are equal or better than them, if we don't"

"Poor decision from home supporters not to go more like"

"If we filled our own seats it wouldn't be a problem"

my favourite....."Where's your faith in the team? players often play better to larger crowds"

I honestly sometimes think we deserve our current mess, some of our lot only have air between their ears.

While I agree with your overall point at least one of these is a true statement and a fair comment.

Rovers fans should take up the challenge, buy a ticket and out sing the sheep shaggers.

To think we’re at a place in time where the once mighty Rovers have to rely on others misfortune to stay up is heartwrenching.

I’m as pissed off as anyone with the way things are going but we are absolutely not at this point yet.

it is entirely in our own hands. Win our two home games and we will stay up. Possibly just one of them (Sheff Wed)
