I'm taking a bit of a liberty with this one but here goes.... Albert King - Crosscut Saw -
I’m still pinching myself mate. I’ve never seen an ending like it to any sporting contest ever, let alone a World Cup final. Amazing and just imagine how we would be feeling if we were in NZ’s position ?
-
Sorry to pick on you mate but it ain’t over till the fat lady sings don’t you know?
-
I’m sure there was a time when losing fewer wickets would have been the deciding factor
-
Let’s hope the England players don’t give up as easily as you seem to have done eh?
-
Last time I checked they hadn’t lost yet!

Australia win the toss and - not surprisingly - bat first. It might turn out to be a good toss to lose.

Given neither of us has the first clue how our clubs are going to approach this one it would be daft to make score predictions wouldn’t it? Having said that I think we will dick you 4-1, a Dack hat trick with Big Ben chipping in for good measure. (Mainly because I do think you’ll play a reserve team given where you are competitively whereas we will probably play our strongest side plus I was brought up a Roman Catholic and abhor the Ibrox chanting about said religion?) -

I worked in Motherwell for ten years and it used to piss supporters of the local team off no end to see bus loads of people heading to Glasgow every weekend to watch one of the Old Firm. We get it to a lesser extent with United and Liverpool fans in East Lancs, but it is in significantly greater numbers in Scotland. Completely unhealthy. -
We almost always played a pre season game or two up there during Kenny's time as manager. I remember us playing the likes of Motherwell, Ayr United and also Celtic at Hampden Park. That last one was a few days before we played United at Wembley in the Charity Shield, therefore playing in both England and Scotland's national stadiums during the same week. We comfortably lost both games without scoring. This was August 1994. The rest, as they say, is history.

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Thankfully Not Living in Yorkshire It Doesn't Apply -
Assuming you are arriving at Central station you exit at the rear of the station (Argyle Street exit) turn left and head for St Enoch's Underground station which is about 150 yards along Argyle Street. The underground will get you to Ibrox within just a few minutes, so you should be okay. Don't stop for a pint on the way though!!

Personally I'd rather avoid that - it only takes one dickhead and Rangers have plenty of those among their support. Anyone coming up on the train can nip into either Kitty O'Sheas on Waterloo Street or there's a Wetherspoons on the corner of Hope Street and Argyle Street called the Sir John Moore, both literally right next to the train station. The Wetherspoons has scaffolding around it at the moment but it is still open as usual. There are also a couple of pubs on Hope Street between those two. We will have my partner's kids with us so are likely to be in the Wetherspoons (Kittys is my 'local' and there will be no Rangers fans in there!)
