  1. JH Rover - no arguments about Coyle and how/why he was appointed, but I have it on fairly good authority that - although Warnock was interviewed - Joyce was going to be offered the job. Regardless of what 'Colin' might have leaked to his buddies at SSN.
  2. Philip - I agree in so far as something very iffy happened with the Coyle appointment (I wrote to the club to protest at the time) but I don't think this is accurate. My understanding is that Cheston's preferred man was actually Warren Joyce, not Warnock.
  3. Bachman Turner Overdrive - You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet
  4. Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove
  5. Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Every Day I Write the Book
  6. Scritti Politti - Lions After Slumber

  8. Otis Redding - These Arms of Mine
  9. Open goal.... ...The Jam - A Bomb In Wardour Street
  10. The Jam - Beat Surrender What a shame it all ended with such a relatively poor song. The Jam had a run of six consecutive singles from Down In the Tube Station at Midnight through to Start! that were all sublime.
  11. Cherry Ghost - Thirst For Romance
  12. Ocean Colour Scene - Chicken Bones & Stones (The B Side to The Day We Caught The Train)
  13. The Brand New Heavies - Midnight at the Oasis
  14. The Beatles - Hello Goodbye
  15. General Public - Where's the Line? (This was the project that Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger formed upon the demise of The Beat in the early/mid 80s. Three cracking albums, each of them are hidden gems)
  16. Electric Light Orchestra- Turn to Stone
  17. Ocean Colour Scene - Fleeting Mind
  18. The best intro of all time in my opinion Prefab Sprout - Machine Gun Ibiza
  19. No but he gave us all a memorable night at Anfield. For that alone he should be nowhere near this list.
  20. Paul McKinnon was worse than Chris Brown. Similar type of player who left the club having scored one own goal. Yes, a centre forward who left owing us a goal!!
  21. The Supremes - Back in My Arms Again
  22. Doctor and the Medics - Spirit in the Sky
  23. The Jam - Dreams of Children
  24. The Beatles - Martha My Dear
  25. General Public - Where's The Line?
