  1. Two things in particular occurred to me looking at that. 1. Alan Shearer was pretty rapid before that first knee injury wasn't he? 2. I wonder what the some of the experts on this message board would have thought of Chris Sutton, on the evidence of this game?

  13. Pederson's balls should have been put in a microwave for missing that far post header at Old Trafford - otherwise Rovers probably would have been there......
  14. Same here Philip - I had thought it was the 'Johnstone Paints' equivalent last night........
  15. The Osmonds - Crazy Horses
  16. The Questions - Tuesday Sunshine
  17. Most folk from Burnley are just Bell Ends.

  23. I remember my dad telling us that our family home in Brighton Terrace, Darwen, had been built on the site of Barley Bank, which was Darwen's cricket and football ground in the 1880s. He reckoned that Darwen had once played Rovers in front of about 15000 people and that one of the goals would have been just about where our house stood (gable end of Brighton Terrace and Durham Road). I have no idea how accurate the exact location of our house in relation to the goalposts is, but a quick wiki search confirms the first part of his story.
