  1. Well, here we go. Huge game for many reasons tonight.

Not overly optimistic but I hope the players can channel some frustration into a decent result.

Sad watching JDT. He is still seething and once again distanced himself from the transfer shambles. Consistent in emphasising the ‘young team’ needs support, clearly he feels some sort of responsibility to them. Really can’t see him sticking around past the summer.

    Come on Rovers.

    1) GB takes full and sole responsibility.

    2) Brierley to be completed in the summer with an agreement in place with Rochdale

    Well, total balls up.

My view, at last we have someone front up to 1. take responsibility 2. show some accountability 3. APOLOGISE

That hasn't happened in 12 years.

    Couple of points:

    1. JDT sounds furious. Timer on him being at Rovers now.

    2. Thought the interviewer asked all the right questions - also not happened very often. Fair play

    3. GB looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Not sure he will be here long.

Cannot sweep this under the carpet based on one interview. Action is needed and goodness knows what the consequence of this will be for the club.

Finally, that can't have been easy for GB to do all the above. Doesn't excuse it or change it, but we are all human and unlike previous crap that has happened, this was naïve rather than corrupt (I hope).

  3. I was too young to remember us winning the league but I do remember how bloody exciting those European matches were, despite us being about as useful in Europe as Waggott running a football club.

I remember one game (against....?) when Shabani Nonda was electric and scored. Mcarthy seemed to look the part playing against European teams as well.

    Heady days indeed.

Oh well, have we signed the lad from Rochdale yet?

Someone needs to say to Waggot, "OK Steve, tell us what you DO for your £300k a year?".

    What does he actually DO?

9-11: good morning Britain with Pasha

11-12: Facetime with Tony and Mark Venus

    12 - 3: lunch. Probably on expenses

3-4: stand at the training ground in a raincoat or go to ewood and count how many shirts have been sold (cant be sold)

4-4.30: tell Pasha everything great and he's got a cunning plan to make loads of money

  5. Looked a frustrated figure last night - firmly distanced himself from the transfer situation. Understandably if the club has failed to land the targets he wanted.

In my view, he has done a solid job so far. Extremely inconsistent but we are top 6 and into the 5th round. Easy to criticize and he cant be immune to it (Burnley, Preston games etc...) but he and the team are currently exceeding my pre-season expectations.

He is clearly an ambitious manager, which can only be a good thing for Rovers. Let's see where we get to this season and enjoy the ride.

Unforgivable when you look back at it especially that the 'powers that be' sat back and allowed it to happen. Mowbray should have been axed after that Derby game, firstly due to his insane team selection nearly seeing us lose to the bottom club at home, secondly due to a half time player revolt and thirdly due to his appalling behaviour in the dugout in the second half. The writing was on the wall then if not before and they should have cut his time short and got Warnock in for the last 10 games. Might never have a better opportunity.

The nadir for me was Peterborough away. I was at the game and we were absolutely hopeless against a team who were bottom (I think).

There was some real anger in the crowd that day, the only positive being it did seem like TM was done for.

  7. Mola was extremely impressive on Wednesday. Read the game very well against a tricky opponent in Antonio. Their first goal was a definite shove.

His ability on the ball stood out - i can see what JDT likes about him if he wants to continue possession based football, building from the back etc.

I would be interested to see how he would get on in a midfield 3. Tin hat time butI think he would be a better option than Travis there.
