  1. What about the younger of the Wharton brothers playing. I liked the look of him, give him another go. 4-0 to the Bantams, sirry, U just think things are going to get a lot worse befire it get's better. Henning Bergesque run coming up.
  2. Makes no sense though does it? If they have a budgrt you work within the budget no need to sign of in Pune every dollar of said budget. Least that's how I have worked with a budget. Maybe it took that long for V's to sign a cheque. On JPVH, maybe they have finally got wind of our feelings for the lad and are going to push the boat out a bit for him to quiet us down for a day or two. Would love him back. On a permanent, proper badge kisser this lad.
  3. Oh dear, we were really bad 1st half. Gave away too much of the pitch. I think JDT is now beginning to see the monumental task he has ahead if him. Funny thing, Phillips goes off they get the second.
  4. How so when the cream of the crop is pilfered by the big clubs.
  5. Do we actually KNOW that Van Hecke has a choice. Do our management team even have any interest. Has anyone heard that we are cos I have not just what the fans want. Is it not entirely possible Sunderland are the only ones interested.
  6. Oh no, he's just used the J word, JOURNEY, shit I thought Miwbary had gone.
  7. Well he has now been punched on the nose. Over to you JDT. Saturday is pivotal I think
  8. Inread something on here if a bust up, JDT and Hedges, true? Could that have affected the performance. Interesting comment the the players did not do what was talked about. Why? That needs sorted. Did not watch, listen or follow the game, got home from work and knew it was bad when I saw 32 pages in the match thread. Think I will pass on the match replay.
  9. This one concerns me, mostly due to the ex Rovers connections. Ince to beat us with a Junior fluke goal sounds about right.
  10. Just listened to JDT's interview on RoversTv on the upcoming Reading game. Just can't help but love this guy. What a breath of fresh air. You know I have seen Broughton take a few swipes regarding lack of incomings, however I think JDT will prove to be the most important signing he will make. Pulling this guy in from left field will prove to be a masterstroke, early signs would indicate. Of course we have to see how he does after the famous Souness "punch on the nose" and I am sure if things keep going this way other managers will place more emphasis on trying to best him. If he can keep mixing it up it will be hard for others to figure him out. Early early days and we have seen many times that teams starting out well can be bottom in a few weeks. Looking promising. Fear us if he does well and just misses promotion he will be stolen by a prem team. For that reason we need to go up this season or he will be Ten Haags replacement lol. Long may the GB/JDT revolution continue. It's fun and exciting again.
  11. Perhaps Markanday can explain to Philipswhy he left Spurs to come here for less money.
  12. That I did not account for, so yes that might have been it thiugh as the game wore on I thought the baggies looked a bit sharper, quicker bit fitter. Could have been nerves on my part.
  13. I thought overall we looked a bit leggy, not sure we can be playing this way every game unkess our fitness levels continue to get better. A better team than WBA may have ounished us, thing is there may not be many better teams than them in this division. So oroud to be a Rover right now. Sad thing is I can not go into work and brag about it today. Cis they ain't got a clue what I am on about.
  14. I concur with a couple if other posters, JDT's biggest test yet He us coming up against a very savvy manager who has pitted his wits against so e if the best un the world. He may have lost a but if the fure in his belly but he still knows his stuff. JDT wins this and it is on lose and the plot thickens making the game after even more interesting. I have a gut feel that our new man has enough about hime to get it done COYB. This new regime has me genuinely excited about us, been a long time. Even second in the league last year I had it in the back if me mind we would cock it up. Right now I just can't get enough of us reading every article I can, watching every video. Could this be the team to get it done? Big downer is, if JDT gets us in the prem by playing entertaining footy he will be gone in a flash. Lovin it right now.
  15. Just watched the replay, what a refreshing change frim the last couple of years. Really getting excited about us again. Young Adam Wharton looks a good good player. Be very interesting to watch his development
  16. Lampard may be desperate enough to shell out big bucks for Diaz. He really looked frazzled at their game, not sure he will last long.
  17. Beggars belief dunnit? From the looks if things they did not talk much to the defenders about defending either.
  18. I think JDT is taking this as a training excercise with a competitive edge. Still think he will want to win it
  19. I went to school with you FFS. Heh heh. So much for Grammar School
  20. Aoert from Roverstv it is ESPN PLUS. Occasionally on there. Dunno if anyone metioned it but there is an app I use to see if we on, Live Soccer TV lists all games around the world and shows what coverage is available be it tv or internet Rule of thumb, if it's on Sky it's on ESPN plus.
  21. I loved that Martin said how we played against QPR and how different we were today Have vision of Martin going through, flippin pages in his scouting report wondering WTF? Love we are not Mowbaryesque one dimensional. Not getting carried away cos one or two of those blocks don't happen and the Swans are right in it but what a professional performance by the lads. More please.
  22. Yes, of course he can turn it around. Or he can join the long list of flops who thought the grass was greener. Great performance. I was struggling to enjoy the game until it sank in we actually had a game plan. Shape hassling at the right time, back to front and in their net in short order, lovely goals. Yes of course it is only two games but surely we can be nervously optimistic because of what we have seen in this two games. Si that's what a proper manager.can do, love it. Let's see, as GS used to say, what he does after we get punched on the nose.
  23. Wonder how long before Darragh regrets his move if he isn't already. All I have to say after today is Darragh who?
