  1. Didnt bother going, watching or listening to the game, went to work instead. Lost much interest in it, also pisses me off a lot less. Coming home and just looking at the score and thinking "yep all very predictable" and then turning over is far easier than watching it and being constantly pissed off for 105 minutes and then spoiling the rest of the weekend. Wont even bother with highlights. Will keep it that way until hes left.

    Fair enough.

IMHO, at £10 PNE would definitely sell out ANY allocation.

With large numbers of away fans, home fans would respond.

It would easily be our biggest gate of the season.

It would depend on where we where. If mowbray is still here, with his team still looking weak as piss, i doubt wed sell more than 16-18k home tickets.

Rothwell's career is stagnating with us, surely he will want away? Bewldering really.

He never seems to perform when he starts games unfortunately. However maybe he needs a run, like travis got (by default) last season. I am still astounded by mowbray dropping travis for evans for the preston game. That was one of the worst managerial decisions i have ever seen, it really was ridiculous.

Interview with Michael Appleton in today’s Times. Touches on Rovers...

’It was a mess. I was there two months, never met Shebby Singh. Yet, I turn up one day to find an envelope on my desk, just saying my services are no longer required due to poor results. It was a shock. We were still in a healthy position on the league (18th), which was my remit, I was reducing the wage bill. We had 18 players injured’.

Really has been a decade horribilis...

The bit about being 18th and then saying it was his remit is worrying, what so after all the money they had spent that summer they were happy with around 18th place, wtf! Considering we were 12th when he took over and not far off the play offs.

    Heard a tale today.

Our commercial manager has gone to Blackpool, as they offered to double the pittance he was on here.

He wrote a letter to Waggott outlining how  gutted he was having to leave the club he supports, Waggott laughed and ripped it up in front of him...

Yes hes a big rovers fan is, Gregg.

  6. Really struggling with why armstrong is starting every week, such a poor player.

But oh yes, thats why, we  have zero fucking wingers, have we, Tony! Another fuck up by you just like with the back 4. Pissing millions on brereton, armstrong and gallagher. Then again there is a lovely little winger called chapman, but you dont like him do you, id probably hazard a guess as to why, id say he loves to attack, loves to create, but isnt great at tracking back, becuase you need that due to shoehorning in the woefull bennett every week, joker.

Oh well we can always play all available strikers on the wings, eh Tony.

That is a decent increase to be fair. Playing devils advocate our attendances have not fallen as far (in fact they are generally on the rise) - did Derby bring more away fans than QPR ?  Have they played since - What was the attendance ?

They've not played since, but their next home game will have the same offer.

QPR was 10,285 with 350 away fans, so 9935 home fans. The game before they played QPR, without the offer, they had 11,590 on against Sheff Weds, that was a midweek game, sheff weds had 2100 on, so 9490 home fans. Then there game with Derby 16,326 on with 2500 Derby fans, so 13,826 home fans. So the lowest amount of home fans in last 3 games was 9490, with highest being 13,826 when the offer was on, so an increas over just over 45% in terms of home fans.

What was the attendance. What percentage increase. What did they charge and what is the normal cost.

10,285  on at home to QPR, week later against Derby with reduced prices 16,326, just under an increase of 60%.

That is an excellent initiative Stuart and well done to the Trust.   Hope you support this?

"Excellent initiative" christ. Do you get this excited when gala bingo put on an offer, shit a brick. There will be little take up thats for sure, not sure of your motive here, youve all of a sudden jumped on every thread with pro-excitment, its strange to say the least. Your preston connection probably confirms your motive, but thanks for trying.

This did not work in the new thread I initiated (probably due to me being a ‘newbie’) so I have pasted it here.   Mods please remove the new thread I started.  Thank you.  Here goes:

This is an attempt to bring together discussions on a number of related issues.

There can be few who can disagree the atmosphere at Ewood resembles a morgue (unless we are 3 up?).  We have the issues of parts of the ground being closed; I understand the logic behind this but the application was not what should be expected of a professional organisation.

This is not one for me as a bloke in his early 50’s but we need to come up with a proposal that the Club will support and one that builds atmosphere and lifts the players.  Please note I am not saying anything about the football on the pitch.

I understand the Club would be receptive to a fans initiative for say a safe standing area in the top corner (JW End) of the BBE Lower.  This could, for example, be two blocks of say 15 to 20 seats depth.

If for example this came from the fans (Fans Forum) with a suggestion that the fans play their part via crowdfunding a proportion of the cost (and new flags) it could well fly.  Shrewsbury fans did this; if they can surely we can?

Despite past actions and how these have been received the Club are desperate to improve the atmosphere and surprise surprise they know they do not have all the answers.

is anyone prepared to take the initiative?  Yet another poll perhaps?

Whats the point, the club treat us with contempt, and couldnt care less. Nobody can be assed anymore, weve tried for 9 years now, most have given up and dont go anymore.

  11. I was at the fans forum meeting 18 or so months ago, and i still remember the words to this day, mowbray said "listen if things arent going well and results are bad like they have been in the past, i wont stay around ill go and give someone else a chance, i keep my word"

Seen on Twitter that @Kamy is a believer. I’d love to hear you explain why Kamy. Nobody else can offer a defence.

No disrespect to the fella, but i couldnt give a shite what he says. People on here treat him like hes the font of all knowledge, hes a standard football fan, with no more knowledge or experience in the game than me or you, who for some reason gets touted about like he has lots of contacts.

Yet nowhere to be seen on here, still a very shadowy character...

    https://www.rovers.co.uk/club/whos-who/

I was writing an article couple of years back, and after research, gathered his contact details. I sent him emails and left messages. After about a week got an email from the club asking why i was contacting him and demanded i stopped doing so. I explained why and said i wanted questions answering, got further communication asking me to direct them at some other chap. Did so and got zero replies.
