O’Riordan looks a threat in the opposition box from corners and set pieces. He’s scored three goals this season. I think it’s something we really lack, apart from Scott Wharton we don’t have any other players who offer anything in the box from set pieces. But we play short corners anyway, so it doesn’t really matter…

Similar to Telalovic, no real first team experience at a decent level. We’re banking on JDT to work his magic and turn them into a championship player. We need players who can make an impact immediately, or we’ll slowly fall down the table and into league one.

Fair enough, wasn’t aware he actually met with the club. I thought it was agreed and then the player told Brighton no. He would have played virtually every game until the end of the season. So I wonder what he was told to make him turn us down?

He would have been a brilliant signing. It was all agreed between the clubs but Undav wanted to stay and fight for his place at Brighton. He went on to make 22 appearances and scored 5 premier league goals. You can’t really put the blame on GB for him not signing.

Should get the kids with signs to double down and make more. Imagine Waggott’s face if they gave away a shirt 😂

Jackson mentioned in the LT that Rovers could attempt to get James Hill back towards the end of January. He’s starting against Liverpool today, so I there’s no chance that’s happening.

Juke is very handy in the air, but that’s about it. He’d be great to have for set pieces in both boxes, but I don’t think he’d be a great replacement for Gallagher. I remember Juke being a handful at Ewood last season and bossing Phillips in the air for an assist.

That is correct, but if we’re all in on this ‘model’ could we not re-invest the fee and wages on an up and coming striker?

Playing devils advocate here, I wonder if the structure of the deal(s) are the reason for the rejection? They’ll know he’s out of contract at the end of the season, so may be they are derisory payment structures? Why wouldn’t we want to get rid of his high wages six months earlier? He’s barely played all season…

It’s happening again… We don’t want to sell the players in the final months of their contracts during a promotion push 😂
