If the Wharton deal is going through, you’d imagine we’d be looking at other targets on the list similar to McGuire, or trying desperately hard to resurrect the deal. Reports that we’re going for an experienced striker, sounds similar to the McFadzean deal. Juke will cancel his contract with Birmingham and sign with us to the end of the season. This would mean a transfer fee of £0.00 and show that Venkys did pull the plug and not that the Wharton deal was about to collapse.

JDT said this week that he’s wanted to play a back three but the injuries have prevented him from doing so. Coventry fans have stated that when they moved to a back four, McFadzean was dropped, with the system not suiting him So we could be moving to a regular back three? Or if we’re holding onto a lead, he’s chucked on with 10/15 mins left to see the game out?

We’ve lost Carter for pretty much the rest of the season. O’Riordan is untested at Championship level and we are desperate for experience in the squad. It’s only a deal until the end of the season and ticks a lot of boxes. JDT has asked for more experience and another centre back- he’s got his wish.

That’s one way to raise the average age of the squad.

Gutted that he’s left, feels similar to the Phil Jones move. I wish they would have got a few more appearances for Rovers before leaving. Adam needs to be playing games, he won’t get game time at Chelsea, Spurs or Newcastle just yet. Doucoure is out for a while and this will give Adam a chance to start in the Premier League. Eze and Olise have thrived at Palace following a move up from the Championship. Let’s hope Adam does the same and we can benefit from a few bonuses and a sell on percentage.
