  1. Yeah American programmes can do that. Sitcoms are the worst for it. They really have to drive home the punchline to make sure everyone gets it.
  2. Nail on head and I'd question anyone who would happily share a dressing room with him. If it was my daughter in those photos the debate would be whether he was allowed to join the wheelchair basket ball team. This sends a horrible message to younger kids that you can treat women however you want and still earn millions
  3. About 5 episodes in to Designated Survivor on Netflix. Really good watch so far. Interested to see how they spin three series out of it though.
  4. If VAR is only going to be used for clear and obvious errors, then refs have to stop using it as a safety net to wimp out of decisions.
  5. I haven't heard anyone use that for so long - I actually started to think it was something I'd made up when I used it the other day so I'm so glad to see this clip
  6. Nope, mainly watched tests and occasionally ODI.
  7. I've never watched T20, how does it differ to the Hundred? It's only an extra 20 balls isn't it?
  8. Watched some of the Hundred last night, was not a fan.
  9. Loved that. Fantastic entertaining series. I was hooked throughout.
  10. If cricket was decided on the pitch and not by the weather this would be set up for an absolutely thrilling last 2 hours to decide the ashes. Still a cracking watch though!
  11. However this finishes, I'm really going to miss this series I think it's been fascinating from start to finish.
  12. Yeah but that batting allowed Khawaja to bet loose and score at blistering rate of 1.8 an over. I understand it at the end of the day running down the clock. Come back in the morning and go for it. But that first session was dull as can be and they're still 50 runs short of England at the same stage.
  13. There is of course a balance. Labuschanges 5 off 44 (and counting) won't help attract new test cricket fans (and I say that as someone who can watch a Mark Selby safety battle)
  14. Think I'm partially agreeing with Jim 😱😱 I enjoy the front foot approach but when you've just lost a wicket or two why not ease off for few overs and build back into it? We seem to play into the momentum that the bowlers build up when they get a wicket. I wouldn't enjoy the aussie approach where they had 1 run for 5 overs at one point but atleast some attemp to protect your wicket would be nice. It's the pass it out from the back at all costs mentality, sometimes you just need to smash it into row z
  15. 20 is generous. Two had gone within 5 mins of that post.
  16. I was following it as far as "If the" then lost it.
  17. At Lords we were aiming pelters at the head of a one legged tailender. Why is it all of a sudden dangerous to play in, for example, light rain to top order batsmen?
  18. I'd rather watch slow boring cricket than no cricket at all. It needs to build more flexibility into its timing so you can finish a game. That includes not letting teams get away with a slow over rate.
  19. Can categorically say that he absolutely is and could find you a dozen teachers that would say so (and much worse). As a sportsman though fantastic.
