I can understand the logic of saying that managers must be eligible to represent the country in the same way players must be eligible but whilst we are allowed to appoint whoever we want we should go out and get the best we can get. I'd rather win something with a foreign manager than lose trying to make Lampard a good manager. Happy with Tuchel as something different. Decent manager let's hope he can get a tune out of this squad. He'll have to hit the ground running I reckon as it won't take people long to turn on a German manager getting a bad result for England

The short answer is - Don't! Don't even try. We could probably pick 11 attackers for those front 4 positions. Doesn't mean we should otherwise Grealish is in goal. Pick the best front 4 and put them on the pitch. The rest provide competition and some may have to miss out completely.

The players complaining about playing too many games need to direct their anger at their managers rather than the calendar. Premier league clubs can easily field two starting 11s so there's no reason that a player has to play 50+ games a season. The only time I can see a justification is when they do pointless internationals after the end of the season.

The fact that cantwell was pretty much a done deal yesterday but hasn't been announced today makes me feel like history is repeating itself.

Well yes if they had any decency about them or respect for the fan base they would come out and explain what the plans are and what the impact on the football club is. However, that's not how this club works. If they have enough money to get by for now with the Wharton, SS and Raya money they will keep coasting along and deal with whatever the auditors going concern requirements in Feb/ March and hope that something changes in the meantime. Maybe the Novemer hearing will resolve everything. They're chancers who are just getting by till the next milestone. Can they get by till the November court date? probably so they won't say Jack shit about it till atleast then.

12 months from the date of signing the accounts rather than the end of the financial year might make it a touch tighter but will probably be OK but not scope for signings really!

If I'm correct, does it not become an issue till the auditors next have to sign the accounts and confirm it is a going concern? A lot can happen between now and when the accounts need to be filed in March.

Have we used all our goals up for the season?

Concern about our depth and ability to do this over a full season but my word it's been a relief to have these two games to start the season. I thought it was going to be a going from the off, far from it.

I could put my house on the market for £1million, doesn't make it worth it Price and value are different. The seller sets the price and the buyers decide whether it is reasonable based on its value. If you go to the shop and see a packet of crisps for sale for £10 youd say "that's not worth it". Value ultimately differs between parties as well.
