I can find a rule saying only an authorised signatory (usually the CEO or Secretary) can sign the transfer documentation.

I can’t find one saying they’re the only people who can submit it.

Theres every chance I’m just missing it though.

This would make more sense to me. The more senior you become the more clueless you seem to become when using portals (generally) I've tried to teach 3 different financial controllers how to log on to various portals to review, approve and submit various documents. Within 2 minutes they've all said "are you able to email me all the documents and I can approve via email and you just make sure we file the email chain somewhere and you submit it for me"

When I read the trust has been working with the sas I got exited. I pictured men in balaclavas rappelling off roofs ready to eliminate swag and the Venkys. I thought finally some action. 😂

That's given me a great idea for a video game. You play as the SAS and the goal is to get to swag in the directors box at Ewood. Enroute you are faced with various obstacles such as a state of the art coach, a crowd of crying players etc. Weapons to be used by waggot to repel the attacks include wads of cash from Andy Coles signing on bonus, disposable admin girls.

When you finally reach the directors box you face the ultimate boss but he's got Broughton as a human shield and every now and then activates a power up - the pune invincibility - where you can't do any damage for 20 seconds and you just have to survive.

  3. Is it possible that other people can have access to the system at a lower permission level to the club sec? So maybe other staff can upload various things to the portal but only the club sec has the access to do the final bits and pieces that submit it to the EFL?

My experience with systems and portals is that the more senior people don't have as much knowledge or inclination to use the system compared to the more junior staff so there's always an element of delegation.

I have heard that a lady office worker/secretary has been binned and carried the can for the McGuire charade. These tossers must not know that only the CEO or the club secretary can deal with the EFL regarding transfers. It seems they have found a sacrificial lamb.

If that's true I hope someone reaches out to her and helps her have the club for wrongful dismissal

Please understand, I'm not endorsing what happened, I'm merely reporting with confidence the chain of events, that lead to our proud clubs name again ending up in great bright lights stating "SHIT SHOW"

Really appreciate you relaying what you find. You'll just get a lot of responses because what you are relaying is absolutely bat shit crazy stuff.

I would say had it been me, I'd of been ringing EFL To confirm they have everything , but clearly this did not happen

This is the bit for me. After last season why wasn't anyone getting confirmation? It's not like it was uploaded at 10:58 and they noticed a couple of minutes later. They had hours for someone to think "did we get an acknowledgment email, maybe we should double check it's gone through" Yeah it's a big cock up on the part of one person but the whole group should shoulder some blame for not checking.

If as suspected the bits where attendees swore to secrecy were concerning JDT's as-yet-unannounced departure, or the McGuire transfer fiasco, I presume the reason for the need for secrecy would be to protect the club from legal action (in the case of JDT) & to protect the McGuire transfer appeal.

I may be wrong, but that would be an entirely valid reason for a cloak of secrecy at the present time, & not something to level at the fans who attended as being in cahoots with Waggott or somehow lured into his trap.

If its not for the public domain he shouldn't be saying it in a fans forum. Leaking the information shows him up to be unprofessional and slimey. If the club gets sued, I don't really care at this point. It can only push us closer to admin.

What is worse, they then swore into secrecy,

I don't have a problem with the fans going personally, if you get the chance to call waggot a prick to his face, take it but it's this secrecy bit that baffles me, what do they owe waggot to keep his secrets for him? If he's announced the sacking of the manager before due process has been followed (or something else), leak it and expose him for the unprofessional dick he is.
