  1. We could do with a quick links page or something. I occasionally get into it with people on Facebook (usually whilst giving baby the bottle) but don't have relevant articles or links to hand and don't have time to dig them out and find them again. Just seen someone disputing that the Vs are under investigation. Would be so much easier if I could just quickly grab a link rather than have to find it all over again.

  2. Change the manager, change the players change the ceo - it doesn't matter it'll be same shit different day. Get rid of the real cancer in the club, only when the venkys fuck off can we become a decent club again.

The last two seasons we've been in the process of throwing away our play off chances around about this stage - now we're fighting relegation. To me there's no difference - shit results surrounded by a complete lack of ambition and decency at the club. I'd rather be in league 2 giving promotion a real good go as a proper club than bobbing up and down in the championship with  o hope or soul left in the club.

    I'm 4 decades older.

I've seen Rovers through good and bad times pre this shower.

Beating Spurs 7-2 at Ewood, winning a Cup at old Wembley, watching on TV as we took the PL, playoffs ( I was at Palace!) and promotions. Ewood with low gates like everyone in the 70s and 80s.

Hard times and good but nothing near the shambles of now.

We used to have decent people running us, that you could trust to do the best they could on whatever our resources were.

I hope that the young fans of today get to see similar.

I have vague memories of the 90s but my core Rovers memories are the tail end of Souness and into Mark Hughes. I can remember when we were a well run club with some cracking players. I'd say anyone under the age of 20 will only properly  remember the venky era which is a sad thought.

This window reeks of expediency. The bare minimum simply to keep us ticking over. Will it be enough? Not wholly convinced TBH but a lot of players need to step up to the mark very quickly for safety to be assured.

The phrase “kick the can down the road” was used on here & that’s exactly what we’ve done. The Indian court situation is the lead weight round our ankles. Unless & until that is resolved we are ticking over…simply trying to maintain existence.

Relegation this time would consign us to the third tier for a while in my view.

I think "bare minimum" sums up the window perfectly. At one point though it didn't look like we were able to get that done so the late flurry may scew some people's perception of how good the window was.

  5. I won't pass any judgement on the players we've bought in until we've seen them play. I agree with the post above about players being written off too early. This liverpool lad for example could be Mola or he could be Hill.

However what we can pass judgement on is that our already threadbare squad has been plugged with 7-8 players who won't be here next season. We've kicked the can down the road but I don't think we'll see any of the Wharton money to bolster the squad. We've had to sell Wharton to keep the lights on and in the process we've kneecapped our manager, DoF and the whole recruitment team
