The BBE was rocking that day. As it was in the first PL home game against Arsenal. Great times.
When I’m feeling a bit down I put Shearers goal against arsenal on and the sight of the blackburn end celebrating always cheers me up. It is a magnificent sight.

I joke with my family and friends when they ask me what was the greatest day of my life marriage, kids and the comeback in this game is it
I even said it at the time. I was stood up in the open part of the Blackburn end. Years of almost rans but for once we knew it was going to be us and this game proved it. It was better than going straight up.
Great day great game

Had my first ever beer in there, aged 13. Reminds me of a tale my mate told me. At a similar age, he was lingering around the bar of a pub over ‘Arrod way, trying to pluck up courage to order his first ever pint. The barman called out last orders, shouting anyone for any more ale. He sort of put his hand up and said, yeah I’ll have a pint of ale. He didn’t realise there were different beers/lagers/stouts etc, so when the guy asked him what exactly he wanted, all he could say was ale. 😆
I had my first beer at a similar age in a local with an understanding landlord. One Friday evening a lad from my school who was the same age came in he’d made an effort and dressed up to look older. He swaggered to the bar and in a feigned deep voice he said “ half of mixed” the landlord just said “ get out”.

I had several rows with him over the years and I have to say I found him a nasty individual who invariably blamed me when his team had lost. In the same season he called me the best first year referee he had ever seen to the worst official on the list later in the season. Today's rant was typical of him and it's simply a deflection tactic designed to ease any criticism for losing. This is a man who called Diouf a sewer rat then signed him.
That’s very interesting. I also noticed during his post match interview he continually referenced that he almost lost an eye by a 1/4 of an inch confirmed by the medics. Later it was almost lost by 1 mm confirmed by the medics. ( 1/4 inch is 7mm). Looking at the photo it looks more like 20 mm to the stitch.
I think if your going to demand sanctions supported by medical opinion it needs to by accurate and not emotive.
Those type of injuries are a shoulder shrug in sports like rugby and boxing. Imagine if every time that happened the manager/ coach/ trainer appeared on telly saying the game was irrelevant after the injury.
Warnock has stated by arbitro was using the injury to deflect from another home defeat and a poor performance.

Sitting down with my Sunday morning brew I broke one of my New Years resolutions which was to never read any of Mowbrays articles. Lancashire live quote “ Mowbray expects a team like boro to be in the premiership “. God give me strength in their entire history they have won one trophy. He endlessly tells us how privileged we are to be competing against the big teams in this league. Has he taken any time to look at the history of the club he manages if boro deserves to be in the premier then I’m one hundred percent sure we do.
He needs to recognise the privilege he has been given to manage the 7th most successful team decade on decade of all time and undeniably the most successful small town team.
If he feels boro are a premier team then he should be ashamed of the shambles he’s making with Rovers.

Yeah and was poor most of the game

Win lose or draw this ref is seriously biased. Travis booking yes all day long but saw where the three challenges from the big club. His inconsistency is consistent with he’s performance at luton

We’ve lost shape and pattern

After stoke in particular and Sheffield Wednesday it’s refreshing to watch a team want to play.

Where just never the finished article. Change our style but not our win rate. Teams just sit back and watch us pass ourselves to death.
It’s shite but different shite same outcome. There is a point where you just want to give up
Has Pulis said he’s been lucky to been given the chance to build a team,
So when can I expect us to start winning because we are now in our death spiral of results
I only have one question
how much time ?

They will finish above us ...
I bet you they don’t. We are not great but what they dished up is only successful now and again. They got away with that shite because we are, so let’s not start applauding that demonstration of how to play football has a home side. Stinks and if we did that( not that we’re capable you and I would be screaming). Away ok decent but not on your home patch. Never ever can you accept that. Unless your playing Barcelona. It was like a cup tie prem v northern conference. Shameful.
That is not defending us but is a criticism of what if just watched stoke wheel out.
-
So that’s O’Neil’s stoke. Horrible awful ugly. We lacked the guile but Christ they’re negative and that’s at home. The worst I’ve witnesssed. Will they get promoted no chance a group of old lags. If that’s what they want to put out good luck to them.

The midfield killed us today and sadly, with Buckley, we were playing with ten for large part. Subs did the job. Felt sorry for TM actually, he looked under a lot of pressure.
Buckley is pretty reasonable on the ball it’s what he does off it that creates problems. There was a point in the second half where he rolled the ball to nyambe but didn’t run into space to receive a return. Nyambe was pointing where to go and he was jogging. Travis for example wouldn’t need telling and watching Nyambe develop nor would he.

Is that true re: forest? 20 games in the chumpions league and twice winners? Remarkable.
Yeah a couple of seasons ago on their forum. Went on to look what their opinion of rovers was prior to the game and in the forest thread that was part of a discussion that they where having.
Looked brentford up to see what they’d won and other than some southern conference thing nothing.
Has the previous poster said they are really annoying and full of delusions of grandeur

Something about Brentford f*cks me off. Always seem to have an arrogance about them. Without the Watkins and Benrahma they aren't up to much. With 11 we'd have beat them. !
I agree with that an arrogance without achievement. The one that turned me off them was a comment that they should be beating a team like notts forest. That’s the notts forest that’s has one the European cup unlike the Brentford that’s won the sum total of nothing.
They think they are the greatest thing that’s happened to football me and the fellas I go with call them Brazil.
-
In the great scheme of things does how much Brereton cost or how bad he was previously matter. He didn’t ask to be bought for that amount so when did it become his responsibility. Has a club a lot of our spending has been farcical and the brereton fee if 100% true is minor.
If we where all measured and judged on what we did previously in our career there would be very few on here who could say yeah we have just been great. It’s about improving and without any doubt this lad has got his head down and worked and that in any walk of life should be applauded.
I’ve watched every game and that kid is busting a gut for us and that shirt he has a great attitude and work ethos. The rovers crowd admire grafters players who give it their all and he’s is one of them.

We need a clinical finisher. Armstrong will go on a run of goals but he’s championship no more no less and no one else will regularly score. We are great with the ball and do look like a play off team until we get near the box and then we are average and at the end that will cost us. Mistakes in defence happen because we put ourselves under pressure by not taking our chances.
Where Watford that much better probably not Bournemouth, Forrest Cardiff we just don’t take the half or full chances. Hopefully dack will make the difference if not I cant see where the leap from contenders to winners will come from

Brereton's diving has been embarrassing tonight. As has the ref who has fallen for it every time.
What he’s put in a great shift. Head and shoulders above some of that out there. I’ll accept criticism where it’s due. You only get a foul if you have the ball. So if you mean he’s been involved in the right areas then yeah your right.

Even with the latest plans, the "big six" won't leave the English league, they want a European super league to go alongside it replacing the champions league.
I'd rather they left the English league altogether to be honest and leave us with a good competitive top flight, but that will never happen.
I completely agree with this and the sooner the better.

Friday 12th February Blackburn Rovers Vs Preston North End @ Ewood Park
in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard

I’ve waited till the light of day and agree with the posters who say times up. The last parts of the game where the end of a managers era football. Players scattered randomly all over the field, unsure what to do or how to do it.
im totally lost for words. All I can say is he has reached the point where he just needs to get out no more talk no more football wisdom no more chances. That was the worst I’ve seen since possibly Oldham away.
in conclusion will he go. Answer not a chance
