  1. if they cannot run the club with the cuts and the amount raised then what's the point. The owners did not send the money last time so a double bond would mean the same amount if they wished to fund this round.
  2. the money we have taken in past few windows should be able to fund the Clun and if not venkys should pay the bond and allow us to function as a normal club tho it will not so we should be able to still spend given our highest paid players have been sold
  3. not that I believe a word that comes out his mouth swag said we had a budget that was higher than last year if he was being truthful that budget must have gone up by at least £9m
  4. We all know he cam do it at this level so £20m for last season top scorer seems reasonable.
  5. £20m for a divisional rival seems a fair price
  6. It's on them to get the best deal for the club not to make him happy and help Ipswich underpay. As tough as it is and as much as I like him as a player and a character he handed the club a good negotiating position by signing the new deal and taking the pay rise.
  7. the infuriating thing about all of this is I'm not begrudging him his move it's that I'm having to argue that I expect the club to get the best deal possible.
  8. I'm no businessman but if they were so desperate as an Ipswich negotiator I'd pull from the deal and wait on them running back to me
  9. he 100% does I have no problem with him wanting a move at 28/9 it's likely his only chance but the club has tied him down he signed that deal and unless there was an agreement they are entitled to ask for what they think is a good deal. I repeat that I hate the upper management of the club but in this instance I think we have to be on their side whether or not we will see any of it reinvested is another separate issue
  10. while I don't doubt any of that post my point is against the people who are saying the club are in the wrong and almost advocating Ipswich lowballing. And I know they won't fetch anything near but if offers are not acceptable then why should we accept them
  11. if no club is willing to make a decent bid to let a 30 goal not even striker go then if the club needs funds the likes of siggy and Dolan need to be shopped out not a player we have on long term deal.
  12. personally I'd rather get 3 more years of Sammy at the club than 6m
  13. I'm not sure what your arguing for here in your first post your saying either accept the lowball offer or he leaves for free in 3 years ( I'm happy with that) or that you would negotiate a good deal for us which benefits the squad all fir that too.
  14. he may have earned a crack at the top flight but as much as I hate the upper levels of this club I'm glad some of you are not running it. it seems you would have took the insulting 6m offer maybe even negotiating it down to 2 or 3
  15. all depends on how good the lad is if he has aspirations to play first team football for leverkusen he/they will surely think he can displace one of the two cms
  16. they are not comparing them tho they are asking for quite a bit less due to his age but a decent fee given his latest season. I have no idea why people on this site seem to be on Ipswich towns side on this I want to 1. keep Sammy or 2. Get the fee that the club deem acceptable not what ipswich want to pay.
  17. I understand all the talk on market value and that Ipswich want to barter to get best price for them but at the end of the day blackburn CAN set the value they want and are quite within their rights to reject anything they feel is not acceptable. They may have replacements lined up that will cost them say the 9m so selling him for less would not let them in their eyes improve the side. ( I know they won't spend the whole 9m and that they probably won't improve the side by the way.)
  18. while I can totally see they would be a nightmare to deal with that's up to them the valuation they have for a player who is contracted to blackburn is completely up to them and should not budge his 30 goals last season kept us up and we would need to replace those goals it's not incumbent upon our board to see that Ipswich get the deal on their terms.
  19. I feel like some will only be happy if we sell sammie we have been told various times of things like theres definitely a release clause in his contract or Ipswich would not bid so low too there's a spoken agreement he can go for 8m to now he will be unhappy if we don't let him go on the cheap. I want to keep him otherwise get a deal that favours us not Ipswich cause he might be angry.
  20. I have no idea why anyone who supports blackburn rovers is advocating we sell our 30 goal player on the cheap because in their opinion ( and that's all it is either way) he will down tools As I say if when he signed the deal there was an agreement then the club should honour it if there is not then unless there is an acceptable bid then the player should honour his commitments.
  21. if there's an agreement at a price he has the right to if not he should and I expect will get on with the job he's paid handsomely for.
  22. no smozdics again tonight seems the deadline was bollocks just like everything out of swags mouth.
  23. when I'm voting for player of the year the first thing I'm looking for is have his legs gone if it's a yes then they are in the frame for my vote.
  24. let's face it whilst I'm glad we are signing players they are going to be shit.
  25. well it will save me wasting my time this year there is little point in keeping the lights on if you don't try to trade to be competitive.
