Wahlsted can go off on loan to a lower league side.  He's not good enough.  To compare him to Raya is perhaps unfair, but at his age Raya was earning rave reviews winning games on loan for Southport.   Wahlsted is nowhere near that level.  I'd go as far to say he doesn't exhibit any outstanding attritbutes. In such a key position, perhaps harsh, but I'd be looking to sell him on.

Raya was around 18 when he played for Southport. Wahlsted is 24!

Really disappointed this has been moved to the Monday night. Will rovers see any of the TV money for this or not?

You've got to think this will have a big impact on the attendance which is a shame as I was looking forward to this one.

Hopefully SW doesn't go silly on the ticket pricing.

    BBC Wales £110,000 TV money

Will this lad from Villa be an automatic starter or a bench warmer? If the latter the whole thing is completely pointless unless the idea is to shift Battys wage off the wage bill and get the PL Club to pay for their man in exchange for game time.

Think you've answered your own question there. The new model guarantees playing time.

They must have sold the bulk of the tickets yesterday.

I bought ours around 6pm on Friday when the seat map thing was showing very few sold.

Considering all the issues re tickets prior to the game thought the attendance with the help of Cambridge wasn't as bad as I expected. Swansea had less for the visit of Morecambe and Sheff Wednesday had less than 11000 for the visit of Cardiff.

Interesting to note that Travis is only being loaned out and is still contracted until summer 2026. Part of me thinks there's an understanding from the club that JDT may well not be here by this summer, and a new manager might value Travis more. Either that or we're hoping he shines for Ipswich and attracts a decent bid from somebody. But every chance he is still seen as having a future here, we'll see.

Thinking exactly the same. Just find it odd it's a loan. Or in six months time hoping the funding issues are clearer.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'played'. What I asked for from the first announcement was a choice but despite many people I know contacting him asking for the same he steadfastly refused to compromise. My gut feeling is that someone has pulled rank on him given the awful sales.

You indicated yesterday he was suggesting a change in approach could be announced today as yet that doesn't seem to be the case.

Hopefully that happens. I suppose them climbing down (albeit still fatuous given the timeframe) hasn't gone down too well but what can't speak can't like - the sales are appalling and heading for a record low crowd for a competitive game at Ewood.

Cambridge away following may avoid the record low crowd c1600 sold at present. Do you feel you have been played by Fraser Read?

There seems to be a lot of confusion over this so its worthwhile us all being clear.

The £11.5M being requested will be approved, because a precedent has been set now by the Indian Government, but this money will only cover paying the existing bills from 1st December onwards. These funds do not have a pound in them for transfers and Venkys cannot send us more money for transfers whilst under the restrictions.

There is no clear end date for when the restrictions will end, this could still be the case this time next year.

Yes a precedent has been set but that was because all the expenditure was detailed in the costing to satisfy the judge. It only takes someone to adopt a lazy approach and think we've got this through once it'll be alright and not provide all the information the judge wants to see and it gets knocked back. Wouldn't happen here would it?
