  1. Done a more than decent job at Shelbourne last couple of seasons. Think they won a cup last season beating big rivals St Patrick's. Not sure he's ready for this circus though, don't want his reputation with the fans ruined.
  2. As much as I have sympathy for JDT in the way he's been hung out to dry by the idiots above him, I think a parting of the ways is the only solution now. Just as long as the manager is not the only person losing their jobs over the running of the club. And we know who we are talking about.
  3. We all know (at least the majority do) that the owners are a bunch of twats However it's hardly their fault that all the paperwork was completed by around 10,pm but "due to an administrative error" it wasn't forwarded by the 11 pm deadline. Just wtf is going on there ? GB told us after the last embarrassment that procedures were now in place to avoid anything like that happening again ! Just fuck the lot of them
  4. So the promise that any money generated from sales would be reinvested into arrivals has proved to be false. I was naive enough to believe this, but no more. This is worse than under Kean and I never thought I would say that. I won't be there on Saturday and doubt I'll be back again this deason
  5. Unfortunately I fear the man least culpable for this charade is likely to be the first out of the door. As much as I've admired JDT and his style of football, it's now looking pretty obvious that his general demeanor and disillusionment with the current situation is having a detrimental effect on the players on the pitch. The uncertainty around his future can't be helping, it needs to be resolved one way or another. If he does go I hope he is swiftly followed by the real culprits in this farce that is Blackburn Rovers at present.
  6. If the egg is still here after this latest fiasco, he presumably would be the man who will decide who takes over from JDT if he walks. If that's the case, it won't be the likes of a Warnock or Ainsworth or Jones. He's on record as saying it would be someone with similar principles to J DT as all the current sides from the 21's to u9's all play the same way. Who that would leave I've no idea. The guy Will Still was linked with Sunderland earlier in the season and he seems to have done a good job in Ligue 1
  7. Absolutely correct, we go down, we ain't coming straight back like before Had characters like Danny Graham , Dack and Charlie Mulgrew. There's nothing like that here now
  8. His transfer dealings ? I think the last 48 hours or so certainly disproves Broughtons comments on his arrival when he said that no signings would be made without the managers approval That seems patently not true now
  9. The deal almost collapsed late Wednesday so he may have been down there, but the money certainly won't have been. Like I say, after calming down slightly, maybe, just maybe I can now seen some sort of plan. Short term fixes hopefully get us through to the summer and then have a real go. I'm hoping the LT are asking the same question of G B when he pops up. If Fleck is fit I'd give the window 5/10, before that 3/10 at best. McGuire obviously an unknown quantity, thr other loans don't see making a huge contribution, especially the Liverpool lad
  10. Went to bed last night after the McGuire signing very disillusioned and actually was going to come on here and ask for Waggots and Broughtons e mail addresses to let them know what I thought of their transfer window. Woke up to find we had signed John Fleck (on another short term deal admittedly) and after some thought I am hoping this is the case : Certainly we lacked leaders and experience as admitted by JDT and these two certainly bring both of those qualities without doubt. I should know better after all this time with these owners , but I am prepared to accept that the Wharton money may have come to late to do any major deals and to possibly make some mistakes by panic signings IF that money is made available in the Summer (and it won't be £18m) then it gives the recruitment team breathing space to identify targets. Let's see if Broughton confirms that in his post window assessment. If not I'll be back on asking for those e mail addresses
  11. The bloke that worries me is that Sinclair Armstrong. Big, quick, powerful unit , can see him having a field day against our defence. Have to keep his back to goal, if he is allowed to turn and run at us we are in trouble
  12. It's not happening this time of night, if it ever was
  13. He won't be playing on Saturday as he is injured. Can only imagine it will eventually be Buckley and I'm not his biggest fan tbh
  14. It's got to the stage where I really don't care anymore. Another total shit show of a window but no doubt GB will charm his way through the post window review and nobody ( certainly not the LT) will ask him the tough questions
  15. Yeah, we are going to miss him, especially if as it seems we don't replace him. Players like Adam are rare indeed , someone who can make the game look ridiculously easy at times
  16. Did you watch the game the other day ?
  17. Can someone remind them it's McGuire and not Maguire
  18. Oh shit 😱😱 what could possibly go wrong ?
  19. Although we won't be getting £18m up front for Wharton, the fact we have only spent around £500,000 on ,McGuires loan deal, means that we are being taken for idiots by the people in charge. It's a fucking disgrace tbh
  20. Aye, 2 hours since Jackson last posted some trivial detail. No idea what is going on there, useless
  21. Don't mind that personally, gives us a chance to have a look at him before making a decision.
  22. Ths deal says there is a big loan fee involved plus if we do decide to take up the option to sign him it will cost more than the £2.3m we were due to pay
  23. Hefty loan fee involved .....
