  1. Mark Butcher was talking yesterday about the decline of ODI’s, particularly in England. He thinks they will fold if the new 16.4 format takes a hold here. Watching some of our all formats players in ODI’s, they seem to be stuck between two stools. They are either playing like they are in a Test match or going totally gung ho like they are in a T20 game. The ECB will be happy if it goes as long as their new baby blossoms. As a country, we need to decide where our priorities lie. The future of Test cricket is also under threat due to the costs of hosting or sending a squad abroad. Only the top 6 can really afford to be involved, which means there is no point in the smaller cricketing countries creating a Test team and their better players will go to where the money is i.e. the IPL, Big Bash etc. leading to an overall decline in the game.
  2. Yes, headline act which was full of energy, the crowd really “got into the groove”, lol. Contrasting with Barclay James Harvest who were on the bill too.
  3. Saw them at the old White City back in 1972 or 73 when I was working in London. Absolutely brilliant to see live. Family - In My Own Time
  4. I ordered mine over the phone yesterday and was asked if I wanted them posted. I did and they arrived today. Never had any problems getting them posted.
  5. That has got to go down as the biggest feck up since Dunkirk. Headless chicken batting by senior players who should know better. Losing by just one run makes it even more painful. Absolutely gutted.
  6. Hampshire 152-8. Parky with 4 wickets. Some brilliant fielding kept the score down. Lancs favourites to win it, fingers crossed 🤞
  7. Darksiders score 204-7 in their innings. Some wayward bowling in the later stages allowed them to get to a challenging total. We need the big guns to score heavily throughout to win this.

  9. The engine was originally named Irish Free State in March 1936 and then renamed Eire in September 1938. It was eventually withdrawn from service in January 1964.
  10. I think we lost our chance of winning the match by not declaring 60 to 90 mins before close of play. We might just have taken some wickets to help us today, although as you say, the pitch still favours the batters.
  11. Your response wasn’t an opinion. It was just a sarcastic, throw away jibe.
