Given that you normally have to overpay for strikers , 1.5 mil ish for Armstrong is very good value. If he has a decent season or two in the championship he will have a much larger value. Very happy, a winger next please.

Going to have to correct myself unfortunately. The sky sports article said a season long loan but has changed to the end of the year.

Reading this is a season long loan not short term.

We are in huge trouble for the season ahead at the moment. We will be lucky to stay up. Need signings quite urgently at this point.

Given that transfer fees are spiralling upwards and upwards , I would think that it would lead to more and more money being invested in youth teams and academies. If a young player like Gallagher can be potentially sold for £7 mill then a well run academy would be turning over a healthy profit.

Have we used up our wage budget on new contracts for last seasons players? It almost feels like the club is using these renewals to act as quasi-transfers to cover up the fact we aren't going to buy any more players.
