  1. Lewis Grabban has signed for Forest and Reading closing on Marc McNulty (is/was a Rovers target):
  2. We are also trying to secure Derrick Williams to a new contract which makes 3. So would expect the one or two to be Armstrong and Chapman.
  3. We need two. Any less and we are weaker than last season upfront in options.
  4. Considering Tony Mowbray said that we would only be signing 5 or 6 players this summer, we have already signed two midfielders, are known to be on the lookout for a goalkeeper, still in my opinion need two strikers, a defender and a winger or two with pace, this worries me. Conway on one side and Morrison on the other would make us one of the slowest counter-attacking teams in the League.
  5. Quick thought. Might it not be worth taking a look at Lewis Grabban? Finding it hard to convert for Bournemouth at the moment but has had success whilst out on loan at the Championship scoring 20 in 34 for Sunderland and Villa respectively. Bournemouth might be willing to cover wages. Again we could agree a fee with them to make the deal longterm if we see success next summer?
  6. The chances of him taking a £10,000 a week contract when he is on doubtless more at Newcastle is unlikely. What we should do is sign him on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent next summer. Even after we bring in Armstrong, I think we need an additional center forward.
  7. Subs. Would be nice if we could actually have a shot on target from open play.
  8. My only concern is his hit and miss goalscoring record. Never better than 1 in 3. Wonder how much Jack Marriott would set us back?
  9. He cost Liverpool £20 million 4 years ago. Only coming from one Twitter account by the looks of it. Serbian international. Wages would be huge. No chance.
  10. Pretty consistent rumours across social networking sites that Rovers are desperately trying to agree a fee with Newcastle for Adam Armstrong. Would seem the lad is growing impatient at not being involved with the 1st team setup during the summer break. Could be people jumping to conclusions. But we really do need to add several forwards to our line.
  11. 3. Only 2 of them have been brought in with 1st team action in mind next season, but don't forget we have brought in a very talented young footballer from Liverpool by the name of Sam Durrant. Could be one to watch.
  12. Correct me if I am wrong. But those stats come with appearances. It would appear that it reflects where he has been played during the games he has played.
  13. Isaac Buckley-Ricketts would be another Man City academy player who would do well at Rovers. Very vast right winger.
  14. Have player departures been taken into consideration. End of contracts, end of player loans and cut in wages some players took to Remain at the club in League One, not to mention new contracts?
  15. What makes you say that? Correct me if I am wrong. But aren't a majority of the players we have been linked with so far in the category of players who have 12 months of less left on contracts? Surely you prioritise those players first in the hopes of beating off competition?
  16. Premature assumption. For me, this block during the transfer window is about tempting clubs with offers for players with 12 months or fewer remaining on their contracts. The Chapman's, Payne's, Bauer's and Rothwell's.
  17. Chapman won't cost more than £750,000 with his injury record. Can't imagine Bauer costing much more with his contract the way it is without add-ons.
  18. A talented young Liverpool player has been signed up to a scholarship and a one-year professional contract this morning. Was being courted by several clubs apparently. Very highly rated. Only 16 years old and a creative midfielder. Sam Durrant
  19. All well and good to say we might not be running a formation that makes use of wingers. But we still need that option should things need changing.
