  1. I know I will get flack for saying this. But I liked Marcus. Sure he had some hit and miss games. But he stuck in some important goals. He didn't have pre-season with the club as other forwards did. In fact who knows how he'd have cracked on with a full pre-season. Did I mention his goals to games ratio is far better than Samuel and Nuttall. His goals in November were important pushing forward into our automatic promotion push and let's not forget he got the (PFA) Player of the Month award, going on to win the PFA Player of the Month award. Just a shame he picked up that injury.
  2. We should make an offer to sign Phil Jones back. We are at his level it would seem.
  3. I'm of the opinion that we need a commanding tall CB, 2 wingers who have pace about them, and 2 Strikers. For me the biggest problem with our team is it's lack of pace.
  4. If anything was proved today by Graham missing out through a knock, it was that we desperately need a proven new Number 9. If Graham is out for a considerable spell next season I fear we are as good as relegated with the current additional strikers available.
  5. Gladwin still out injured as well. (quick reminder to all that he is still contracted at Rovers for another 12 months)
  6. Indeed. Very handy 1 year extension will take some of the pressure off come next summer.
  7. It's an underwhelming link. He has played the vast majority of his career at League One level. Hope it is untrue.
  8. Not really. He was on loan at Milwall from Wolves. Transfer funds go to Wolves.
  9. That's not what I said is it? What I said is that if the formation Mowbray wants doesn't work. Namely one up front. He might choose to revert to two upfront, which makes having more strikers available important. Say for instance we start next season, and we don't kick on. We have to revert to two upfront. Danny Graham (God forbid) gets injured. That leaves us with Samuel and Nuttall with Butterfield on the bench. We can't go into the Championship next season with less and worse quality frontline options than we did last season in League One. Would be utter insanity. Spin it whatever way works for you, bring in players who can play on the wings as well as upfront. But we cannot go into the coming season with Graham, Samuel and Nuttall as our only striking options.
  10. For me it would be... 1- New striker 2- Danny Graham 3- Mo Eisa? 4- Samuel Nuttall would go out on loan. Because it is often a good idea not to restrict yourself to one formation throughout the season, with no ability to change things up should the original formation not work?
  11. Mo Elsa would be a decent 4th striker signing. His brother Abo Eisa who plays for Shrewsbury Town looks a talent as well.
  12. Hope not. Awful for Barnsley since his move from Walsall. 20 goals in 86 games.
  13. Wonder if he's coming back from Charlton? Or maybe he is coming back from Paddington after Bristol?
  14. 2 questions. 1- Is 24 (in January) really that old? 2- Could he play even better with a better quality team around him?
  15. I see Alan Nixon picked up on the rumour put out by a Twitter account with less than 70 followers. Guess he must be desperate for a story to publish. Bristol Live have also picked up on the Ellis Harrison story as well.
  16. If you saw the link on Twitter that is the person who started the claim.
  17. Rumour seems to have come from a pretty unreliable Twitter account in fairness. Side note: How can anyone know what a club is about to bid. Not only is he claiming to have an inside ear to the Bristol Rovers boardroom. He is acting like he has an inside line to the Rovers boardroom as well. Could maybe partially be wide-eyed if he'd said we had bid that sum. But the way he says "are prepared to bid in the region". Sorry. No. Don't believe it.
  18. A loan with a view could make all kinds of sense when you consider his injury problems. Let him prove he has put his injuries behind him before devoting a full term contract.
  19. Not at all. I'm being the grown up in this exchange. I don't want to argue with someone who is clearly on here to pick a fight. Have a nice day! ?
  20. You seem a very angry little person. Who suffers from a distinct inability to treat anybody with any kind of respect. Not worth debating with.
  21. I have discussed it with Kammy and one of the mods via Private Message.
  22. I was one of three people who heard this from 3 different reliable sources of would seem.
  23. Wow. That was incredibly snide and unnecessary.
