  1. HA HA HA HA HA HA Poor sad deluded Dingles.
  2. You just know that they'll end up permanently fixed to JPW by his second stella. Bad news Mushy ..... I'm on the beer this time too ! On his head knowing John.. covering the bald spot
  3. Are the two sentences connected? If so, is there a shop selling inflatable brfcs.com members? And another thing, I can see the entire day being a real letdown. why will it be a let down? C'mon... inflatables.... letdown... it isn't that hard to work out. jesus, how thick am i as for the horn i'll only use it a couple of times, IF they let me in!! I wouldnt, because if you get the horn in the wrong place, then you might just get arrested. Just ask George Michael
  4. SG194 This is a great bug bear of mine that other clubs do and we don't - getting Season Ticket sales early. Said it for years and years why we can't do this? Unfortunately for the Rovers, the seed has been sown this season (way before the slump -although we could have done things to rectify it before the last two weeks) and unless there is a major incentive or reduction in prices, as I have said on other threads - JW and the Board better be prepared for the impact. Personally, I feel we will be slow to hit the 10k mark never mind 12k - so unless something major happens re prices or signings then I feel JW is conning himself into thinking there will be anything but worry on the S/T side of sales. I'll be renewing mine, but it is now getting to the stage where even I have to start thinking about the cost of tickets. I think to be fair, Rovers were not in a position to put a season ticket package together as we were not sure of which league we would be playing in. I'm told the Season Ticket package for next year has now been finalised, it would be nice if Rovers could at least get the info out at tomorrows game. That said, Rovers are going absolutely nothing to convince people WHY they should get a season ticket next season, as there are no extra benefits at all. Miss a couple of games and the card would have worked out cheaper, I already know for a fact I will miss at least 2 home games plus the 3rd round of the FA Cup next year. Playing reserve games at Morecambe is a joke, and after seeing where Boro play their reserve games, then they have no excuse not to find somewhere more local (Accy Stanley ?). I know they are working hard to add other benefits to the season ticket package, but none of it appears to be any use to myself. I think they may be in for a major shock with season tickets (ie < 10000) obviously keeping our current run going will be the best advertisement, but people have been genuinely disappointed with what they have seen at home this year.
  5. The Antipope, East of Ealing, Brenford Triangle, or any of the 5 part Brentford Trilogy. The armageddon series can be hard to read if you've not read any of his stuff before. I read 'Waiting for Godalming' and enjoyed it. Some while later I read 'Nostradamus ate my Hamster' and found it the strangest book I've ever read. Then I read another one about Billy Barnes, can't remember the name. That was very disturbing too (and not the Barnes web thing). I've now given up on Rankin as being too weird. If ever there was an author whose books you have to read in chronological order, then Robert Rankin is one of them. Theres so many in jokes from the earlier books (Lazlo Woodbine, Time Sprouts, Hugo Rune), that it makes it quite disconcerting for the newer readers.
  6. Just started Chuck Palanuiks "Diary" today, if its half as good as his others then it will be a cracker. Fight Club everybody probably knows, but I'd heartily recommend Survivor, its a really well thought out work.
  7. The Gilpens Bell is easily the best pub in that neck of the Woods, been there before the last couple of Spuds games. As theres a good few of us stopping in London, the chances are we end up nearer to the Train Station, or even do Camden as Tris suggested.
  8. I'm not suggesting anything yet, until we are mathematically safe from Relegation. Inflatables / Beach Balls etc is definitely the favourite though.
  9. I did get confused when walking around picking up the bargains and then finding after about 30 minutes shopping that they didnt take credit cards/switch Strange, I've used both in there before. "System Failure"
  10. I did get confused when walking around picking up the bargains and then finding after about 30 minutes shopping that they didnt take credit cards/switch
  11. I've always struggled to find a pub at spurs that allows away colours, although many people have mentioned a wetherspoons, I've never been able to find it. Tris ? Jimbo ? Any other local ? Any better suggestions ? Gilpens Bell - about 5 minutes up Edmonton Road - You will be with JPW, and he has been in there before
  12. Tower Thistle. JPW/Glenn + a few are just over the River at the Travel Inn.
  13. Bad News.. i've just been to the club shop, and I couldnt find any Rovers beach balls. Reckon the boy fleming has been down and is planning on making a tidy profit on them. No Christmas in Florida or BlueBoy outfits either. Bloody 100's of Roar masks though.
  14. Sorry mate, I drink Pints, not girls drinks
  15. Yeah - whatever. Anyway if anyone sees a bloke in a Superstella Tron™ outfit at Spurs - it's not me. It's Superstella. Bob and Damo Gally will be arguing over these costumes now CLICK HERE
  16. When are you implementing the spell checker ?
  17. You'll be pushing it to get back for the 1810 train
  18. Chelsea Away him and Babbel defended very well, and this fool thought there was a defensive partnership that would see us do ok this season.
  19. My sentiments exactly. I cannot see anything to be gained by sacking our manager at this late stage of the season. In fact it will probably be the final nail in our coffin that condemns us to the 1st division. Its incredibly important that everybody (fans, players, managment, board) are all together on this and we develop some sort of dunkirk type spirit. The players need to put a performance in to lift the fans, the fans need to make some noise and get behind the players - we cant afford the "if the players dont perform/the fans dont get behind us" mentality here. Come the end of the season, then a lot of people are going to be reviewing what their priorities are for the next season, the fans will be deciding on season tickets, the players on potential moves, the board on if the manager/players is good enough, the manager on his own motivation, players and coaching staff.
  20. Rovers have just announced that Blue will be playing at Ewood at the end of the season. Like we haven't seen enough crap on the pitch already this season. Probably be better than Grabbi mind.
  21. *** UNOFFISHAL FISH UPDATE *** Fish will be appearing on Never Mind the Buzzcocks on Monday 16th Feb Hopefully we will see him punch Mark Lamarr.
  22. Ian Lavender from Dads Army is also popping along to do his Private "PIKE" act. Also, theres Stickelback, the tribute band to that canadian band who did "How you remind me".
  23. Yes Bob, but to get over this potential problem he is going there Incommunicado. Bob isnt daft, he knows you know.
