  1. i thought people saying the recent mess is worse or as bad as when we first went down were speaking a bit of hyperbole, but i'm fully behind that sentiment now. this stuff?? again?? more insular rich kid infighting further crippling our club.
  2. sorry to hear this mate. they're one of the family aren't they
  3. hopefully the bit of pre season he has had will help. a mate of mine went through the american soccer system and he'd hammer home how just how focused on fitness and physical discipline they were, and he's no slob! everything was about being as physically fit as humanly possible, partially because of all the cross-country travelling and varying different climates i think. in other words, he hopefully shouldn't have too much trouble getting up to speed, nor matching the physicality of the league.
  4. i know we're (understandably) lost in a sea of negativity at the minute, but McFadzean sounds like he has a phenomenal attitude to bring to the table. a rigidly determined winner, willing to commit, and to lead the team. let's hope it can transfer to some of the younger lads by osmosis.
  5. i wonder if sweden have been on hold til the end of the window 😬
  6. surely gilsenan has to be the next to step up? if not now, when? needs an opportunity in the league
  7. looks like we're exploring some loan to buys at the end of this window, which suggests that money will be available in the summer if they're willing to commit to spending ~2.5 - 3 million of it now.. interesting 🤔
  8. translation: Blackburn has made an offer to Viking for David Brekalo. A loan with an option to purchase of between NOK 30 and 40 million. The clubs may have to reach an agreement on a permanent transfer for there to be an agreement. Orlando's bid is still on the table.
  9. i'd imagine he'd be seen as a ready and waiting mcfadzean replacement? if it's true of course, we might've been forced to leap in now to stop him moving elsewhere before summer
  10. keep seeing "we didn't reinvest the Armstrong money" did Szmodics, Brittain and Hyam materialize out of thin air then? that's your Armstrong money, which Broughton did say a bit back. it's crazy what people will choose to believe as true or not based on suiting their own narratives on here. we don't need to make shite up or pretend something didn't happen to despise the way our club is run. there's bloody plenty in reality to be going off first.
  11. a couple of years back my work situation changed, so i was absolutely thrilled to finally be able to get back to ewood with a season ticket again after however many years. it's safe to say that hasn't lasted. season ticket never renewed. zero plan to. i don't think i've been to a game since and i don't think i've once particularly regretted that either. the bit in bold hits the nail right on the head with the level of apathy towards rovers atm. it's just so utterly sad what these pricks have done to us all, our love for this club, and the club itself.
  12. pete o'rourke is suggesting we're after jimmy dunne from qpr. not a clue on his record with us edit: former burnley youngster 👀 26 y/o centre back with decent championship experience. 2 ireland caps.
  13. mine too. can't see it any other way. a Wharton sale with zero reinvestment would go against the entire point of their employment at the club. they either walk, or prove themselves to be exactly like the rest of them.
  14. a new link. not sure on the source like, but it's an actual incoming transfer rumour in the transfer thread!! https://twitter.com/Santi_J_FM/status/1749413250733601203?t=nfJdJw85ne4JvOh-HELpoA&s=19 EDIT: Vicky Kiankaulua, plays in Belgium. Winger/forward. 22.
  15. if it was 2017 Mowbray when he arrived here, abso fucking lutely. exactly the type of kick we need.
  16. i've nothing to say that hasn't already been said, but we look a mess. something has to give. it feels like jdt is practically daring them to sack him at this point. who we'd bring in as a replacement, god only knows, but if we don't do something it'll very quickly turn into a repeat of the coyle season.
  17. well, that's a different point all together. i don't think anyone would begrudge jdt that. but the point is: missing out on sixth place on goal difference is not a decade long ceiling to celebrate
