Im confused why Norwich have rejected 2m for a player who is soon out of contract? Maybe to start a bidding war? With the likes of rangers interested we may aswell just leave it now & move on.

I think it’s worth the risk for his age. He could change especially with a new camp. He clearly has the ability so there’s no worries there unlike some players we’ve bought in. The best news here, is if it’s true, is that we have abit more money than people think and are looking at permanents.

Fair play, I personally would take him for ability & his age alone. Rumours of an attitude problem but that hopefully could be helped.

Its very rare a club makes a significant permanent signing in January. Unless you have a lot of money. Who’s going to let a key asset go midway through a season? It will be a loan or 2 however, like I’ve said many of times, we need to get a move on or there won’t be any available. Clubs are getting loans in now and probably had them in mind before the windows opened. Us on the otherhand…

Totally get you, and I have felt the same a lot this season even after a win. I think it’s a sign of us over achieving. With a few new players In, I think we will see a change. Midfield is the key for me - Need some flare & pace.

Signs couldn’t be more obvious to us needing an attacking midfielder. Smallwood & Evans duo was bad enough under Mowbray.

I hope your’re right. But I wouldn’t hold my breath. How many clubs want to sell their key players on a permanent in January? Do we have the funds? I was only really expecting a few loans in this windows…Ebiowei , dembele, Lowe are good shouts, already missed out on the first and the longer we leave the others we won’t get them either.

I’ve had your attitude for many seasons, always said the same to be patient. I still have that in me but only just…Again the point is we have needed re-inforcements since the start. JDT knows that. We have a recruitment team who should have players lined up and ready to snatch at the first instant. Look around you, other clubs are doing it. We just seem to sit back & back and wait and then “miss” our targets?? It’s all the same and for a team in 3rd looking to push forward just doesn’t sit right. Sooner the better!

That’s usually my mind set and you’re totally right…However again my point is since the start of this season we have needed re-inforcements. So in my eyes, the scouting team, DOF should have players lined up ready to sort WITHIN, the first week. We all know the saying the sooner the better…we will have the same scenario where we leave it till the last few days where all the decent loans have gone & decent players have been snapped up.
