  1. It's crazy how much we've all looked forward to this knowing deep in our minds that our defence isn't good enough. Bowyer saying on sky sports his morning basically we were going to win and we loose. I know it's first game but this shouldnof been the easiest game of the season. We've bottled it and for someone who hasn't liked Mowbray since the start it Dosent bold well. Fulham away next...5-0?

Sorry but you are talking absolute cr@p just to have a dig at the manager. Our most influential and dangerous player is Dack by a country mile.

Don't avoid the point I was making and saying I'm talking crap mate. The point is Rothwell should be starting. No ifs no buts!

Four new signings out of five start.

Would have started with Rothwell but I'm guessing Downing will provide more defensive cover on that side?

He doesn't though. Rothwell did more than enough at the end of last season to show that he can track back and cover. It makes no sense at all.

  4. Sigh. As we all expected, our most influential and dangerous player is on the bench. It's amazes me how, this donut in charge can't see the difference Rothwell brings to the side. There is no excuse to benching him whatsoever. He was our stand out player for the last few games. (Would of been all season if he'd started) He comes off the bench against rangers makes an instant impact. Has another great game against Bury...Now he's on the bench over Stuart Downing!?99% of the fans think he should start. Why on earth can't Tony see that.

Seriously fed up now of Tony & delusion methods.

  5. Walton

    Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell

                   Travis Johnson

             Gallagher   Dack   Arma

                      Graham

Thats the team I think we will be seeing tomorrow. Really hope Rothwell is in the place of Gallagher but really cannot see it. Shame really as the lad hasn't done anything to warrant being back on the bench. Rothwell in the team above with yon man at the back and we have a team to challenge for the top 6.

Good question. Martin O'Neill used to tell the Irish players half an hour before the game. I think managers do it differently.

Some players can't sleep if they know they are playing in a big game. I suppose there are pros and cons to each. Personally I think it's better of they know the day before.

It's something I've always thought. You used to always know when travis was playing because he's always put on his instagram story "game day". He puts that early-mid morning on the day. Just seeing Gallagher putting slot on instagram now saying "back at ewood tomorrow". Maybe he's been told he's starting. Not sure could all be speculation.

I think Bennett may actually start over Nyambe, but I think this is what we'll end up using throughout the season, probably with JRC and Buckley pushing for that CM and RB slot. Brereton could also challenge DG for that striker role too. But based on pre-season this seems to be the style

Armstrong over Rothwell & that i think will be the team. As much as i want it to happen, really can't see Rothwell starting over Arma.

Not more lethal than Rothwell and Dack though, so there was no place for Palmer.

Of course. But for people to say "wouldn't have wanted to have seen any more of him in a Rovers shirt" is trash talk really. He's had decent feedback from every club other than ours - Says alot about our manager really. He was in a same position at Bristol City being on the bench but made a decent impact there and their fans rated him.

Despite Palmer's current £4.5m price tag, I wouldn't have wanted to have seen any more of him in a Rovers shirt.

    Would you?

With the right manager, Palmer would of been a decent player. Doesn't help when you hardly play and when you do, you're out of position. Palmer got way too much stick for my liking. Him & Rothwell together would of been lethal IMO.
