  1. and they will only realise their potential by playing. i agree, though mowbray will see it different and play them out of position or not at all,i have zero confidence in him getting the best out of any young player,it will be very interesting to see what he does with butterworth, who for me would be a direct replacement and upgrade on the departed samuel, would be typical mowbray tactics to shunt him out wide and ruin him
  2. bit like not repaying your car finance cos the car turned out to be slow, unresponsive and frequently would not start?
  3. i know what you mean,i still get a buzz when i see floodlights in the distance!!!!!!!,i suppose when i was growing up there was barely any live maches on tv so saturday afternoon was sacred
  4. tony and mrs m fancy a move to sandbanks, negotiating a pay off as we speak?
  5. no way is buckley ready for the hustle and bustle of the championship,he needs 3 months in the lower leagues to learn how to look after himself,as for the other two,i think they are ok though no doubt mowbray will either play them out of position or ignore them
  6. our goalkeeping coach has never caught a cross in his life,so it figures?
  7. watched him when he was on loan at southport vs chorley, big lad, good header of the ball but very slow, never going to make this level imo, wharton is a far better prospect and player
  8. think you`re being a bit unfair on nyambe,he can`t show any attacking intent because he`s gets no support, hence he ends up stopping and passing square or back,a genuine wide player would give him an option of the overlap,we could have a potent weapon if we utilise him that way
  9. wasn`t chris hughton lined up to be their next manager???
  10. lots of us want mowbray gone because the football is mind numbing, the team is mentally weak, everybody is out of position and he`s blown 12 million quid on two strikers, one of whom would look out of place on a sunday morning and the other who spends games out wide looking lost, this team makes big sams look cavalier,at least his side could defend though
  11. a lot of people overestimate this premier league lark, there is`nt that much difference in ability from the bottom half of the premier league to the top six of the championship,it`s when you get into the top half the gap starts widening,im`e certain west brom and leeds (pre promotion) would give aston villa, brighton and newcastle a good game
  12. mowbray has played armstrong out wide loads of times,he loves a striker on the wing,it`s his guilty pleasure,he`s the only person in the whole rovers community who thinks that strikers can effectively play wide and genuine wide players are flash and unreliable, the bloke is seriously confused
  13. he only moved armstrong inside because dack got injured imo,he`d still be ploughing a dejected figure out wide otherwise
  14. our possession style of football goes sideways, back and does`nt create any chances,i agree it`s fecking boring
  15. rank bad management imo, reed looks a natural in the middle
  16. fulham look a class above cardiff tbh, though they don`t half play some fanny football
  17. class player that lad, connor gallagher as well is destined for bigger things
  18. got to disagree about williams,he`s a weak and unreliable centre back who is bullied by anyone with muscle(stockley for pne completely owned him) and as a left back is an accident waiting to happen, one of the players we need to get shut of if we are ever going to mount a play off challenge, bauer might not be anything special but he`s far superior to williams
  19. mowbray should be looking to mix the play up,he`s speaking like he`s managing barcelona with this posession football obsession, not sure armstrong and dack can play together for me it`s one or the other,we don`t need moore either,we`ve already got a target man in gallagher, just stop putting him out wide, give him proper coaching on holding the ball up and getting in defenders faces,he`s big enough to be a right nuisance on set pieces as well,i agree we have other priorities to fill
  20. the better the manager the more ruthless he`ll be,especially when it comes to getting rid of players that ar`nt up to it,how long do you think bennett would last with an ambitious manager, you should`nt be keeping players in the squad who are popular but not performing on the pitch, ffs i despair sometimes
  21. 1-only tony can answer that one 2-not many that i can remember 3-a big fat zero 4-he can`t defend and gives penalties and dangerous free kicks away,so none if i looked at the championship released list i could pick 5 or 6 free transfers that would offer more than captain marvel, though mowbray seems to have an absolute, undiluted love for him,so what can we do,the only good attribute about bennett is he`s a good crosser of the ball, not that he gets up the pitch to use it
  22. great photo, never ever seen the blackburn end without it`s roof, when was it erected??
  23. at brightons first training session next week, the coaching staff are going to watch walton and say "my god, what have those lot up north done to him☺️"
  24. a proper centre forward who could hold the ball up well and a good finisher, the much vaunted european scouting system should be looking around everywhere for a natural replacement, not sure if we have an british scouting system, maybe it`s been cancelled because it came up with brereton?
  25. rovers had far better players and a manager who let them express themselves, the souness era had us playing some fantastic stuff, till he lost the plot and started to fall out with everybody and anybody, souness is the type of bloke who`d kick the monopoly board across the room if he landed on mayfair with a hotel on it
