  1. bell is more like a lancia, looks ok but when it gets started gives you serious problems, williams is akin to a reliant robin, easy to knock of the road and likely to fall to pieces!!!! myself,id`e rather hunt for a subaru impreza which needs a bit of work, once it gets going there no stopping it and it`s rapid
  2. i would`nt have williams anywhere near the side,he`s a weak centre back and a calamity at left back, this is the perfect time to blood some youngsters, lets face the truth,we ar`nt going anywhere the remainder of this season, give some game time to the fringe and young players
  3. loving the videos and nice to see the old riverside, which i never stood in because my dad always insisted the top bit was unsafe when the wind blew, the daft old sod??
  4. iv`e no doubt if celtic had let barnes carry on he`d have led them to the bottom half of the spl,an unbelievable fete?he could`nt even hack it at tranmere ffs, great player, terrible coach and shocking pundit
  5. how much more commited were rovers compared to todays squad, get in there, blood and thunder and actually get forward as well, unbelievably we started with two strikers?sod modern day football
  6. thanks for uploading that, brings back nice memories
  7. ...the presence of John Bond, always a hero to Rovers fans absolutely, the man is/was a legend?
  8. according to my source brereton is monstering everyone in training, mowbray has had to calm him down, such is his ferocity,he`s been kicking off with everyone, even put tosin in a headlock and completely owned lenihan in a recent session?
  9. as ewood was in the throes of reconstruction, tickets were like gold dust, watched it in the pub and when shearer nearly broke the net it was bedlam!!!!it was packed in town later that night as well, glorious times!!!!!!!
  10. if my memory serves me correctly,it`s man utd next!!!!
  11. the port vale game was shocking,i travelled in the car with a couple of my friends workmates, one of them was so fed up at the end he decided he was going to walk home,it took an hour to talk the silly **** round and we did`nt get home to midnight, missed last orders and had a thoroughly miserable night, just when you thought it would`nt get any worse we had to endure getting beat by leicester at home a few weeks later when we actually fell out of the play off race, that was the lowest ebb, turned out all right in the end though?
  12. how will mowbray cope with this tumultuous news, without his leader, who will vacuum the living room and mow the garden in chez mowbray, can the club survive this devasting setback
  13. how very dare you diss kuqi?he was magnificent(sometimes),what would you give to have him up front now
  14. the only time we ever looked under pressure was 15 minutes from the restart, leicester were bombarbing us with long balls up to the lanky ***** ian ormandroyd(who made peter crouch seem small)moran and hendry were immense for that period, after that we saw the game out well,we were all nervous considering what had happened in the previous play off debacles, tbh i thought we were under more pressure at derby in the semi`s,they threw everything at us and they were a far better side than leicester,we were watching on the big screen at ewood and it was truly painfull, they should have let speedie chin that yob at the end as well?
  15. used to be buzzing when milan were going deep in the champions league,i remember utd getting completely outplayed by an inspired kaka one year?even fergie could`nt use one of his ****** excuses for that one
  16. italians officials have confirmed that the iconic san siro can be demolished to make way for a new stadium another corporate bowl no doubt and another iconic venue bulldozed, after the mess they made of the maracana, hampden park and the overblown cost of building a new wembley, sadly we will soon be left with only memories, only the upcoming economic slump can save us from the corporate behamoth
  17. Derbyshire's cock up against City sealed his fate with Big Sam. Anybody that brain dead shouldn't have been playing Premier League football. i`ll always hold derbyshire in high record for cooly finishing off newcastle at st james park in the last minute of a game they absolutely dominated, bentley lobbed it over their pushed up defence and matty drew the keeper and put it in the bottom corner!!!!!!!!!f*****k fantastic, the geordies were devasted?
  18. dunnys england career was doomed from the start unfortunately, succesive england managers had an erection for lampard and gerrard in the middle of the pitch,to such an extent, even a world class player like scholes was shifted out to the flanks, simply no room for dunn especially as he did`nt play for one of the chosen few clubs,i agree he should have won more than 1 measly cap,but plenty of others who should have played for england got shafted as well, how many caps did heskey get??,i could name a dozen players who never got a cap while he was stumbling about the pitch in the guise of an international
  19. The one Keen signing I wonder what if would be Simon Vukcevic i thought watching his cameos he had undoubted ability, unfortunately it looked like he`d rather be anywhere else than east lancashire!!,on the other keen signings, formica was pretty good, just to lightweight for english football, the one i do remember who had prodigious talent was carlos villanueva, the chilean, not one to impress big sam though?
  20. franks legs had gone by the time he signed for us,though he did manage to modify his game,he still held the ball up well and was hard to shift once he had possesion, did as well as you could expect imo,he`d had a long career at the top remember,15 seasons with man utd and arsenal, was a great player in his prime
  21. id`e rather see football played forwards than the square passing get nowhere stuff we see these days,i don`t see the point in trying to play possesion football if you`re players ar`nt good enough to keep the ball
  22. after a first few sticky years kendall produced one of the finest sides to ever grace english football,iv`e absolutely no doubt that kendalls everton side would have won the european cup,a pity the murderers at ***** at the other end of stanley park spoiled it,the main reason he left for bilboa as well
  23. fantastic, many thanks for putting this up,speedie speedie speedie!!!!!!
  24. unfortunately in the modern game a striker is expected to be able to do everything,im`e of the opinion that strikers are paid to score goals,i think jordan is seen as a bit of throwback,if he`d been around in the 80`s he`d most likely be playing in the top division, rush and lineker wer`nt complete players, they just had the nouse to sniff out opportunities in the box
  25. you had to be there in that era to appreciate standing on the old blackburn end with a team put together on a shoestring that played good, honest attacking football, promotion might have brought a season or two in the top flight before the sky behamoth took over,in the end jack would have come on board anyway imo,he was showing interest for a couple of years beforehand,i`ve never felt so bad about a result after that palace game, devasted as i was about englands demise in the 1990 world cup,it still did`nt come close to how bad i felt about that play off
