  1. this latest mowbray line up is absolutely set up for counter attacking with the amount of pace in it,perfect for away games imo
  2. true, but we are likely to be tested and put under pressure today,so put your best full back on the pitch and move jrc to his favoured position(wherever that is??)
  3. is jrc a better full back than nyambe, emphatically no,therefore it`s a braindead decision by a manager with obvious cliques in the squad
  4. i think so,call me old school but is`nt a good idea to tie your best players down to a contract
  5. awaiting the team news and expecting some mowbrayism(changes even though we won 5-0 last week!)
  6. we used to call jason roberts jigsaw, cos he went to pieces in the box?
  7. nothing wrong with mixing your tactics up,i remember everton completely owning bayern munich once when the great howard kendall changed their tactics and they launched it long towards sharp and andy gray, the germans could`nt handle it
  8. well at least everyone else will be just as skint as we are, kind of a level playing field
  9. in the next few months we`ll find out how good dolan really is when other teams start to take notice, mark him tighter and start handing out the rough stuff,in essence he`ll be a marked man, personally i think he`s good enough to figure it out and still thrive,he`s one of those players who is just a bit different and one who makes things happen
  10. after watching him try to play football for nye on two seasons,i think im`e entitled to an opinion and yes,my mind is made up,he`s bloody useless?
  11. it does`nt take a spreadsheet or bar graph to tell me that brereton is underachieving?
  12. implausable as it may seem in this era of footy, notts county were promoted to the top flight that season?
  13. gallagher does`nt play his weight at all,he should be terrorising opposing centre backs, though tbh we don`t tend to play direct,it`s a bit of a mystery to why he was signed, especially for 5 million quid?
  14. from my childhood memories i can also recall john butcher being pretty woeful between the sticks,my dad in particular didn`t rate like his keeping one little bit,he was always shouting at him
  15. you only worried about collier if a dangerous set piece came within his flailing grasp, with walton you worried every time the ball came near him
  16. iv`e never seen a worse keeper ever,he`ll be playing non league football in a few seasons time, even that will be much for him
  17. raya is a good keeper,he got the blame for mulgrews and rodwells incompetent defending, neither of them could head a ball or clear their lines, things got slightly better when lenihan returned from injury but mowbray obviously blamed raya for all the soft goals we conceded, hence the transfer
  18. i did`nt want to mention that painful scenario?
  19. i agree,in fact he cost us more than 7 points, there was a mistake every couple of games,i don`t think playing bell will have the same effect, walton only got picked every week because there was no one else to replace him, tony is likely to drop bell sooner or later and replace him with one of the young lads or a new signing (if it happens)
  20. maybe our european scouting network will come up with a left back, used to be loads of talent around scandanavia, surely we have contacts over there
  21. there must be a free transfer out there that is better than bell, surely he would`nt take much hunting down, the lack of a competent left back will bite us on the **** at some time
  22. some away games last year we folded like a cheap suit, get a result at a difficult place like derby and we`ll have an indication on how the season is going,i know it`s early doors but this really is a chance to put a marker for the season down and we have a week off,so no fatigue issues
  23. pne fans have an unhealthy hatred for us,for some reason,i don`t consider them a rival tbh,i don`t have the dislike for them that i have for bolton, burnley or oldham, they`ve suffered 50 years of misery so in a way i feel a bit sorry for them
  24. come on tyrese, bang in the winner against pne at sheepdale and you`ll be a ******* hero ?
  25. i have been told by a club mole that tony does`nt really like dolan,he does`nt like his attitude, his dress sense, his fancy wing play or his liking for a blue wkd or five after a game,he considers him a maverick and there is no room for mavericks, tony is determined to break him down, expect dolan to develop a niggle if he does`nt stop all this creative nonsense?
