  1. hull is the most unfriendly town in britain,it makes burnley look enlightened and bohemian,i remember a midweek match at boothferry park(their old ground) the hull massive had crept onto a disused terrace and bombarded us with concrete that was loose, the police wer`nt to intent on dealing with the miscreants either ,when faced with a complaint that we were getting missiled their curt response was "you should have stayed at home then!!",if memory serves me right we lost 2-0 as well?
  2. the problem with mowbray is he was such a good defender as a player it hurt him badly if the opposition scored,he`s taken that into management,he can`t handle his side letting a goal in,thus we get containing and negative tactics most of the time,i still maintain the lads ignored his instructions when we turned sheff wed over!!,i don`t doubt he`s a decent fellow and a football man through and through but the club needs a new direction and fresh ideas
  3. to be brutally honest,we are not going to get anymore through the turnstiles whil`st mowbray serves up the turgid football that has become his trademark, not to mention all the fans that won`t return under venkys regime,we`ll only get back to 20000 plus crowds when venkys all die, disappear, sell and/or we get promoted, both unlikely to happen, for anyone brought up with attacking football, saturday afternoon at ewood or away is a bloody chore these days, absolutely nothing to get excited about ,
  4. travis has been excellent in the last month,i hope he can keep up his marauding against one of the better teams in the division, got a nasty feeling bennett will start somewhere tommorow?
  5. we`de get attacking football thats for sure, oxford were a bit naive in not trying to shut the game down with 5 minutes left
  6. by more luck than judgement i think we dodged a bullet on the atsu deal?
  7. i think fulham are weakest side in the top six, despite spending a lot of money, they are what they term a "nice side" not likely to upset you physically wise,it`s a game we need to pick 3 points up tbh
  8. i met tony at some awards night at the hordens in feniscowles years ago,i know it sounds cliched but you really could`nt meet a nicer fellow,he took time to speak to everyone there,i really hope the club recognises what he and family are going through, maybe donate a % of the gate receipts for research on this horrible condition
  9. rovers european scout??,he`ll hardly have a stressful time of it,have an easier time than the pot washer in a greek restaurant
  10. you can`t win everyweek you know?
  11. it`s a difficult place to play middlesborough,a point is a good achievement
  12. a valuable point imo,it was captain fantastic elliot who guided us there!!!!!!!!
  13. travis has improved a lot in the last 2 months,he`s looking a real player, probably get rested next week!!!!!!!!!!
  14. i`ll take a point out of this,we don`t look like we`ll score if we play till midnight
  15. a fit bennett is bad enough a less than fit one is a bloody liability, nailed on he gives a penalty away
  16. i cannot believe bennett is on,have you having a laugh,he could barely move on tuesday night
  17. boro don`t look much use, this match is there for the taking
  18. he need`nt bulk up to much, scott sellars was only small,so was craig bellamy,he just needs a bit of weight and probably sending out on loan to get seasoned, not going to happen though is it
  19. buckley is tiny,he can`t be more than 9 stone, honestly,he`s not ready for the 1st team, brereton is a bid lad who`s lacking ability and confidence, not size and weight
  20. he is`nt ready for the physical test of the game tbh, needs building up
  21. think we can safely predict he`s not in mowbrays plans for the foreseable future?
