  1. are they still bashing the cod at rossall??never caught much there and moved to the gynn wall at blackpool, though not been for a few years tbh, price of black lug is a bit steep these days, unless you dig your own (f**k that for a lark!!)
  2. very long odds but can you imagine the panic if one of the big six did end up in relegation trouble, they`de probably try to change the rules again?
  3. ayresome park the old middlesboro ground was a pretty miserable place, been twice and it was blowing a gale both times, the ground was falling to bits and the general area looked like it had just come out of ww2,i know blackburn is`nt the most salubrious of places but it made our town look bright and cheery
  4. the real aim of the project is an end product of a closed premier league, with maybe a franchising model which is reviewed every 5 seasons, they introduced it in rugby league and the game went to the dogs because for everybody bar the top 4 of leeds, wigan,st helens and warrington, there was nothing to play for,you could`nt win the title and could`nt get relegated, most games were meaningless
  5. i think this season they are completely unbalanced and still have that play off nightmare in their heads, never a better time to play them i think
  6. it was that fat git rick holden who i did`nt like, looked like a slob, ran like an overweight slob but he used to put absolutely evil crosses in,the ones which draw the keeper out but veer away from him,a strikers nirvana?
  7. boundary park had the worst away end in the whole football league before they tarted it up,open ended and bloody freezing when the wind blew
  8. i was at this one, wonderful old ground, had kick about on the beach before the game? great header from speedie, for someone who short he was a fantastic header of a ball,he used to hang in the air for ages, the sunderland fans absolutely hated him, apparently due to some brawl in his coventry days?
  9. forest are in right state and it`ll take hughton months to sort them out,our biggest danger is mowbray messing about with the line up and changing formation,if we keep a settled side im`e confident we`ll win easily
  10. louie annesley is`nt it??
  11. how much were they offering???
  12. lol, next one up is brereton vs pele?
  13. iv`e heard of him,he was a headcase extraordinaire apparently!!iv`e never seen much trouble following rovers tbh,got a bit out of hand at grimsby once when the natives were`nt to pleased to see us,ive mad more scary moments following chorley, there are some proper mentalists in that town?
  14. wide strikers are a mowbray invention, stein, clough, ferguson, paisley, trapatoni, robson did`nt bother with them did they
  15. put away the fishing rod and/or the drugs?
  16. maybe we can look at italia 90 and gazza fever,it brought football out of what the press called the dark 80`s and gave itself an invitation to be popular again,as soon as the money men moved it changed, now it`s packed, not cheap and not accesible,i really can`t understand why the bubble has`nt burst
  17. is that the infamously bad radislav petrovic??,he was terrible, probably on a par with hope akpan, herald goulon and the portugeezers,i need a lie down before the rage starts!!!!
  18. when the premier league was formed they immediately set about marketing the game to the middle classes, the bigwigs at the top realised they spend more, don`t cause any trouble and don`t begrudge paying stupid prices for tickets and merchandise,it took a decade or so but they have succeeded, the game at the top is not a game of the working class anymore and the premier league do not give a flying **** about the rest of english football
  19. got to give a shout out to ian miller, tremendous runner, bit of a one trick pony but never took a step back,i don`t think i ever saw him come inside or lay it off square
  20. it was a phase of youth behaviour, just like the mods and rockers of the 60`s,the hooliganism had largely ceased by the late 80`s when the acid house craze began and young lads decided it was preferable to hug everyone than be chased across a terrace with the threat of getting your head kicked in
  21. i often think keith was the most talented winger iv`e ever seen,on a going day he was unplayable, sadly his mind was often elsewhere, remember him waltzing through the barcelona defence whenever he pleased when he played for newcastle and his absolute torturing of the arsenal full back van bronckhurst
  22. were any of you older fans at the blackpool game when the ammonia was thrown at their fans?
  23. i would`nt complain if carlo decided to pop into brockhall for a cup of tea and chat with gally?
  24. zico had the lot and more?
  25. ancelotti has done wonders with calvert lewin,he looked a slow, cumbersome oaf last season, now he looks mobile and a handful to anyone
