You have a very good chance if any element of the travel industry is already set up to deal with this especially now we know what is going on it’s the cruises . A lot of the American lines are setting up to get the ball rolling in mid July . If you can’t go they seem very flexible for potential rearrangement

I’m going on my first ever cruise soon , it’s an American ship , Daniel bolud and Tomas Keller have restaurants there . I’ve been to their flagship restaurants, I don’t expect the same ( not saying you did ) . I think a chef should for the most cook his resto . Michael I hate doesn’t do sat nights at his somewhat overrated eponymous place . Madness

That’s pretty strange as I’ve had superb curries in both Houston and Warsaw . The latter turned out to be a guy from Sydenham . I’ve had some shockers in The Indian sub continent . diners drive ins and dives is a good show , if you can see past the daft presenter there’s a lot of good every day immigrant food that America is built upon . It’s not all daft portions and with some stuff they are just as good as is and I include cheese now , everyone has their strong suits though and they just can’t do chocolate but we can’t do chicken or bbq

I’ve got a lakes triple header booked in late aug fingers crossed , lake road kitchen , Aulis @ lenclume and the cottage in the woods

Re ny good or bad ? I was in Ithaca for some time but I love the boroughs too

I’m similar in that I’ve been to a lot of states but not for long , I have however spent significant time in ny city / state , Chicago and Texas and eaten very well . Northcote is very very good and I go fairly regularly but I’ve had superb meals at monofuku ko , le Bernardin, 11 Maddison park , contra , wildair and more in New York , the french laundry in the napa valley and Alinea in Chicago that are a level of two above

Yes I see what you mean . Have you Been to golden boy pizza ? re lazy bear toy would need to be in the mood as you are investing into an idea as well .

Some real sweeping statements about American food ... what parts have you been to ? Some of the most decadent restaurants I’ve been to are in New York , and in places like Texas and New Orleans the bbq/ chicken is just as fantastic but in a different way . mid you are talking about Vegas then I agree . Food was poor there but it is an appalling place full stop
