  1. Liam Manning giving it the big ‘un with the fist pumps to the home end after watching his team luck out and offer basically nothing all game is funny. Absolute nothing club, Bristol City.
  2. Eustace a bit naive to try and bring four on so late and end up frozen out by Bristol City holding onto the ball for five minutes. Gone from max 15 minutes to influence the game to max ten.
  3. Staggering they’re not picking up bookings. It’s difficult to look at these performances from referees and not assume they’re either corrupt or just not cut out to make the correct decisions. Availability of betting markets for yellows etc always casts doubt on ones like this. So easy to sneak a weird statistic through. Pears woeful at his near post. Totally against run of play, as well.
  4. Gueye definitely looked a lot more of a Championship-level striker the last few games.
  5. Anyone else’s stream down and also only got Warren commentating? What happened to Neal?
  6. Markanday (debut?) goal at Leyton Orient. Embarrassing mistake from Bristol City keeper, two players have a tap in and both bugger it up.
  7. Every ball into the box has been garbage, low, to Dolan, with Gueye trying to peel away at the back stick. Almost as though nobody thinks about or discusses what we do in a wide situation, with the ball.
  8. Good free kick, but still should’ve been comfortable for Pears, really. Not sure if he was unsighted by his wall, but that’s on him, really.
  9. Pragmatic in the circumstances. Not the easiest of away trips, I wouldn’t mind a clean sheet here, even if it’s a draw. Don't hate the lineup, do hate everyone above Eustace currently not doing their job properly. If someone in hospitality in the next few matches could give Waggott, Pasha and Gestede a piece of their mind/polite slap, that would be appreciated.
  10. Think he could develop this more, he often looks a bit flustered in the final third but with a bit more time to think, he’s done well there. Just needs more experience doing it.
  11. Staggering we’ve lost this. Coventry have done nowt and looked like they were on the ropes after the change of shape. But there’re a lot of tired (and now injured) players in our squad. How Waggott walks freely around Ewood, I’ve no idea.
  12. Trying to work out who Forshaw reminds me of and it’s a really shit, late-stage Jordan Henderson. Absolutely nothing with the ball, doesn’t fancy getting into tackles and can’t be relied upon to move it more than ten yards.
  13. Yeah, I’ve noticed that. “Well, this calf strain was very manageable when we were winning six on the bounce, but it is quite sore now we’ve one win in seven and are two down at home.”
  14. We were as bad for it under JDT. I assumed it was training then, but I now assume we just have an injury-prone squad.
  15. Absolutely battering them here. They should be four or five down.
  16. The Trust - as far as I can tell - is just a vehicle for their board members to participate in a shadow board. Which is appropriate, as they both do fuck all to help. Honestly, never underestimate people’s need to feel important.
  17. Got a real fire in his belly and his touch/decisions have been noticeably better this evening
  18. Kinell, all four remaining subs with over half an hour to go. Two strikers up top. Can’t really fault the “go for it” energy, but we’re so injury prone, it seems a risk.
  19. Two separate people have texted me independently to ask “why are we like this?” and “why do we bother?” Got to say, they’re both valid questions. Eustace is onto a hiding here. Needed proactive recruitment and got to see the back of the chief scout instead. Still, there’ll be plenty sucking up to Waggott, Pasha and Gested in the padded seats this evening.
  20. Genuinely think we’d need to drop about £10m or so to maintain a playoff spot. Not because full-strength isn’t theoretically capable but because we need so much cover and depth.
  21. I reckon they glance at the table and assume it’s all down to their visionary football club ownership model, before getting back to whatever whack-job, rich person hobby they’re busying themselves with that week.
  22. Woke up for three minutes at the end there. No urgency after the goal, but save it for stoppage time. Great stuff, lads. Eustace partly to blame with the team selection, the Forshaw sub and very little half time impact, but the players didn’t seem to fancy it and I don’t like seeing that. Mitigating factors, but a poor do all round. Much better needed.
  23. Can’t get a cross in down the left hand side, but seemingly persisting to hammer it at Kioso.
