  1. if Ainsley Pears had been goalkeeper yesterday, we would have won the game 2-1. Whaldsted is to small between the sticks, the first goal proved it, a header that was,nt that powerful looped over him into the top corner. The only good point was Sigurdssen and Schmodics on target again. We have been making the same mistake for a while now trying to cling on to a slender lead and the opposition put it in the back of the net late in the game. We need to learn how to finish a game off with a bit of daylight.
  2. Merry Christmas to all Rovers supporters, I haven't been on this site for a while due to illness, but I will be back at Ewood on Saturday hoping to see Rovers get back on track.
  3. Great result for Rovers, but it will count for nothing if we don't get back to winning ways at Ewood.
  4. Didn't Ennis score at Ewood in a league cup tie against Walsall.
  5. Both Telovic and Ennis on the scoresheet in Rovers 7-1 win against Preston for the under 21s, yet both absent in the 1-2 defeat against Preston at Ewood. Doesn't make sense to me.
  6. Tough one, we usually come unstuck in the potteries. A point might be decent given the size of our injury list at the moment. What we need to do when we're back to full strength, is to turn it into fortress Ewood and make it very difficult for teams to get points here.
  7. What I can't understand, why has jdt left Ennis and Telovic on the bench when we have been playing catch up against Swansea and Preston. I would have brought them both on the last 20 minutes against Preston.
  8. I think somebody's put a curse on the Rovers squad, like last season and the season before, a dressing room full of injuries at the wrong time.
  9. Great performance from a team with lots of injuries. We were unlucky not to get something out of this game, after hitting the bar twice. Overall I thought Rovers were the better team on the night. Preston were very physical and should have had a few more of their players in the book. Well done Rovers, it gives us hope when the injured return after last night's performance.
  10. We gave a good account of ourselves against Chelsea, it should up our game against Norwich after playing Chelsea. I bet we're regretting selling Kaminski after the errors we've seen from Pears and Waldsted. Personally I would bring Pears back against Norwich. Let's hope our walking wounded are back soon to strengthen Rovers squad soon.
  11. Let's hope we put in a decent performance against Chelsea. It should raise our game for the next Championship match playing against them.
  12. Probably why he was misfiring, a fit Schmodics would have put his chances in the net.
  13. Worst performance of the season I have seen at Ewood yesterday. We need to put this one behind us and put in a decent performance against Chelsea.
  14. Some comments are saying we only need to turn up against Cardiff next Saturday, they are due a win against Rovers, we have beaten them the last 3 or 4 matches we have played against them at Ewood. I think we need to stay focused when we play them next week. I am predicting 4-0 to Rovers.
  15. Carbon copy of my life pal, My dad died of cancer and I stayed at home to look after my mum till I was well in my forties. When mum died my life ended for about a year. You will come to accept it in time, all the best for the future.
  16. The last 4 games Rovers have dropped 9pts out of 12, mainly down to Pears and his dip in form, he was responsible for Rovers not coming away with a point against Ipswich. He punched the ball instead of catching it right in front of an Ipswich forward who stuck it in the back of the net. As for Wednesday night closing the Blackburn End will make the crowd even smaller. I was impressed with Sigurdessons debut, were getting there players who can stick the ball in the net.
  17. Some good news for Rovers, Sigurdssen is fit at last and might come off the bench to take part against Ipswich. Another tough one for Rovers, Ipswich have won 6 and lost 1 since being promoted to the Championship. I am going to put my head on the chopping block and say 1-2 to Rovers after the disappointment against Sunderland, with Sigurdssen on the score sheet.
  18. The guy last night sat next to me kept screaming never a penalty, after seeing the replay he clearly made contact with the player. We were flying the first 10 or so minutes with some classy moves but same problem, our strikers misfiring and putting the ball in row 31 of the stands. I think it was Leonard correct me if I'm wrong who had a golden opportunity right in front of goal, how he blazed it over the bar had the Blackburn End in disbelief. It is vital we get our best strikers geling together and becoming permanent names in the team and doing what their paid for, sticking it in the back of the net. Some of our moves last night were Premier class, there were groans all around the ground when our poor finishing failed to find the net. Unless we get our strikers scoring on a regular basis, Premier class moves from Blackburn Rovers will count for nothing.
  19. True some decent football, but same problem, not being able to finish a game and hanging on by our fingertips the last 15-20 minutes. We need to learn how to put a game beyond the reach of the opposition.
  20. If we can take the 3 pts against Sunderland, we would be hovering around the top 6 and our injured players wouldn't be to far away from rejoining the squad.
  21. I was,nt impressed with Yesterday's performance, it took a midfielder to take the points, and he was unlucky not to get a hat trick if it wasn't for a good save from the Boro keeper. If Schmodics had not been playing we would have lost the game 0-1. From the last 2 games our strikers have scored 0 goals. Let's hope our strikers find their scoring boots against Sunderland Wednesday. We'll done Rovers for bouncing back against Boro and let's have some goals from our strike force.
  22. Manchester City are funded with an endless pot of gold from the Arabs. You don't get an endless pot of gold playing the good tooth fairy. I prefer 6os and early 70s football, there was a transfer ceiling of 100,000, and every team had an opportunity of silverware over a season.
