  1. This is a point I’ve long wondered about. It benefits Waggot for the new set up to fail, if it was successful he could be in trouble if others became in favour. I doubt he wanted his mate Mowbray to go. I’m not saying he is actively working against Gregg and JDT but also wouldn’t surprise me if he wasn’t particularly helpful to them. JDT has made snipes at Waggott all year
  2. I think it sums up the state of the boardroom and clowns running the show that they haven’t sacked JDT. I can’t think of another club in the league that wouldn’t change manager with the run we are on and the performance on the pitch. I looked last night and we are the only team in the bottom half who haven’t changed manager. I agree with everyone that the issues are wider spread than the manager but the fact they haven’t made a move just to try and keep us up this year sums up how they run this club
  3. What a weird assumption!! You think JDT leaving will cryptically be tweeted by the women’s Twitter account. That is peak levels of conspiracy
  4. Slightly controversial but if we are cutting budgets like we seem to be JDT probably isn’t the best manager for us. Need someone like rowatt who will just try and make us hard to beat so we stay up. Depressing but it’s where we are at. For what it’s worth I don’t think jdt leaves he’d of just left today. He doesn’t owe us anything so why stick around, plenty of managers have left jobs the day before games. Steve kean being one.
  5. Same for me I’m done now with it all until venkys go
  6. How’s this waggots fault? It’s all venkys they are a disgrace! They hire waggot the book stops with them
  7. This is classic venkys, almost impressive at this point they keep getting away with it! Just to recap/predict the day: - snag in the Wharton deal so can’t spend money on incomings - what a shame we were itching to spend 3m on a striker as well what are the chances - oh look the Wharton deal has been saved we can sell our top asset and bank 22m - the maguire deal? No that’s impossible to save, what a shame we so wanted to spend! - oh look we tried all day but it was just too late and you know it’s a bad window to spend money on what a shame - here’s a 19 year old on loan from Brentford, don’t worry he’s never scored a goal before he has an xg of 9 million in the under 15s! It’s a good job we are so good at developing young players because all the top clubs send their best youngsters to us. complete jokers!
  8. The lad is going to quadruple his wage and be playing premier league football!! You are making out he’s being sent to fight on the Gaza Strip
  9. The bit that I don’t get is why was it allowed to get so far? I understand venkys not reinvesting money but surely this was decided before last night? The story came out at 11pm our time so at 4 in the morning in India someone decided to pull the plug on all incomings randomly having let the club negotiate deals for 2 days? Makes very little sense even for venkys
  10. You don’t pay much attention to football if you think this! Look at reading, look at what happened to Wigan and Bolton. There have been loads of worse things that have happened to clubs and the fa has not stepped in!
  11. If venkys stopping all incomings is accurate, what do we think this means? Is it possible they are packing up to sell? Cashing in on the best asset before leaving? Personally I’d take this shambles and even relegation to league 1 if it meant getting rid of them! Maybe I’m just in some fantasy land.
  12. None of this situation at all makes sense? Everyone at the club knew the state of the financial situation before they sold Adam Wharton so surely they would know what if any money was available? Now I absolutely agree with most people on here that venkys would take the money and not reinvest but surely that would have been made very clear? Somebody must have said you can have x amount to spend or else why waste the time negotiating with club and player? if the financial situation is that dire and the club needs to sell Wharton to keep the lights on why are we bothering to negotiate fees?
  13. Ironically they have also signed a 37 year old has been
  14. Let’s be honest if we don’t bring in at least 4 this window has been another disaster! We’ve lost key experience and our best technical player! We needed a centre back, right winger and a striker anyway we now also need a centre mid! I can’t seen us brining in 4 or anything close to that.
  15. Every club makes bad signings! The likelihood just increases when you are shopping in the bargain basement like we have to! I’d counter the bad signings to say that on a limited budget 4/5 of our strongest 11 are all Broughton signings in hyam, tronstad, Sammie, siggurdson and possibly brittain
  16. I think we all know how this story goes! We will bring in a couple of kids on loan and possible a permanent from abroad or lower league for 200k or something and he’ll be sold as having loads of potential and part of the model etc then waggot or Broughton will do an interview after January and talk up the summer window and more time to spend money etc and plan! We will get to summer and shock horror the money will not get spent then either
  17. I haven’t seen a single rumour linking us to anyone to be fair? Apart from this American boy
  18. But we have done this haven’t we? We reinvested some of Armstrong money into hyam, brittain and smodzics? This summer part of kaminski money went into the keeper and telatovic? It’s just figures are not as eye opening because we are awful at selling players.
  19. I agree with your general point about venkys I have zero faith they will get this new model right. However in the balance of fairness and accuracy Brentford spent 10m on Toney the summer they sold Watkins and Maupay for 50 plus million! Their net spend that summer was about 35m in profit. We are still selling players for 2.5m so hard to fully judge currently.
  20. It’s genuinely time to protest in my opinion! The club is a joke from top to bottom! Literally the only positive thing is the academy and even when we have players graduate through that we are such a mess we lose them on frees! sylvester needs to go for this mess up but why is waggot or anyone else responsible for documentation in Birmingham at the game on deadline day!! complete farce, honestly don’t know why I bother forking out 400 quid every year for a season ticket. had enough!!
  21. It’s not though is it….every team in the championship top and bottom sign players on loan, short term hoping to get promoted. There’s plenty of sticks to beat the club with and rightly so..but using the “signing a top rated championship player on loan is pointless” stick is way off
  22. I think people are missing the big issue. I actually don’t think the o’brien transfer is shambolic from the club as people are making out. He basically didn’t want to come here until there was no better option and then we had to negotiate a contract for a potential prem signing. The big issue is that we are waiting on this one, what now seems very unlikely signing, to see if the window was very bad or just bad! We should have had our business done and then on deadline day if a player like o’brien becomes available you add him as a Hail Mary for the promotion push! Obviously I am asking too much of a supposedly professional outfit! I can’t see the transfer going through now I’ve never known a transfer go through this late but let’s be honest even if it did our one major glaring weakness of a goal scorer was not addressed
  23. Unfortunately it seems quite obvious what’s going to happen. Everton will get turned over by Leeds Wednesday night. Leave them with 1 point from 5 having only scored 2 goals. They will then stump up the cash on deadline day for Brereton leaving us no time to sort our own deal out and ending up with a last minute loan possibly from Everton as part of the deal.
