I respectfully disagree with this. Had a great finish to last season, great going forward but thinks there’s a lot that are better than him. Seems to be injured a fair bit and average defensively. I honestly don’t think we will miss him much.

3 seasons Brittain has been here - misses 15 games a season through injury, goes missing when we are up against it defensively and we are getting 3.5 million with a year left on his contract. Normal circumstances good business, but these aren’t normal circumstances. Cheap or no replacement and weaker come the West Brom game.

On Brittain. Sign a deal or sell at this point. impressive end to last season, seems to suit Ismael as a manager, perhaps we should’ve tied him down last summer. But I for one was quite critical of him at that point, seemed to be a passenger when us as team where under the pump. Sad to lose him, particularly to a rival, but as many others have stated, we have lost a lot worse and recovered.

My point is I don’t think either are irreplaceable and Tronstad now being a top earner is fair enough, but when he’s 32, legs going and not in the side earning 20k a week there will be many on here saying we need to offload him and he isn’t worth the Theres plenty of clubs throwing money about and I’m sure they’ll both get it. I think Al-Sahafi is a decent punt. Only 21 plenty of room to improve. 6 ft 2 and clearly has pace - fits VI’s style. Granted he’s only got 1 full season under his belt, but he only turned 21 in feb- surely rare to have more than that at his age.

Can’t see a player who’s 27 and knocked about in Eastern Europe for the past 6 years catching the eye of many other clubs can you? Aside from a couple of goals in the conference league last year seems a bit of a no mark. I’m sure his wage demands will be 50% or more less than Danny Batth’s , the lad might turn out decent for us, but hardly had an inspiring career to date that will be catching the eye of other clubs.
