  1. Very much so. which it’s why it’s lucky the season doesn’t start tomorrow 🙂
  2. He could possibly walk. A job in the championship is an attractive job. Even at a batshit crazy club like ours (which not every potential manager will know in depth). Look at how many managers Watford have attracted. We had a good squad and have been pushing the playoffs several times over the last few seasons. Any manager will look at a club in the championship and think one good season and their reputation soars. They find out about Pasha and the venkys the hard way.
  3. It was a tongue in cheek comment about you saying of the season started tomorrow the squad isn’t ready. Which is obvious as we were barely in to pre season and 99% of clubs’ squads aren’t ready for the season at that point. I don’t trust the venkys and never have.
  4. Take off the tin foil hat. We are run by incompetence, not genius scheming villains.
  5. To lose Batth and Weimann to Derby and Brittain to Middlesbrough is so disappointing. And to be potentially in a similar situation with Tronstad and Travis soon is criminal. No idea why we can’t get contracts over the line but it’s a farce. This window needs to be a big one. One positive is the managers response. No nonsense. Hope he isn’t a lone voice in the building…..
  6. Imagine he’s a kid who’s been let go from another u21s side
  7. Some chaddy-esque revisions on Callum Brittain happening. He’s a top right back at this level. Huge loss if he goes.
  8. Just an odd comment. Of course we aren’t ready for the season yet. We haven’t even played a friendly. Most clubs’ squads aren’t ready at this stage.
  9. Then it’s a good job it doesn’t start tomorrow
  10. Gassama and Pye would be great business. I feel Nixon does the same story every summer. Venkys like the manager and they will back him. Then a few months later the manager wants to leave so I always take it with a pinch of salt.
  11. Our owners are disgustingly wealthy. Their wealth outshines most if not all of the other teams in our league. But Rovers are well and truly barrel scraping paycheck to paycheck skint. The money they spend to keep us afloat is down to their own incompetence. All you have to do is compare where we were as a club the day before they took over and where we are today. We have been lucky in who we have employed down at Rovers. Mowbray, Bowyer, JDT, Eustace, Broughton. And the fantastic players we have been able to pick up. We have massively overachieved over the past few years where as other clubs with poor ownership have floundered. This is both a blessing and a curse. Rovers still exists playing at a decent level but the venkys are still here and those who don’t follow closely don’t realize their damage.
  12. Think it’s a decent pick up in all honesty. Unless he’s a replacement for either Tronstad or Travis. I can stomach Forshaw as a bit part player, he’s nowhere near as bad as people claim.
  13. If you don’t rate Sondre Tronstad as a footballer, particularly at championship level then quite frankly, you should watch another sport
  14. They had the Lancashire rose in last seasons kit. Downgraded to a stem.
  15. It’s a nice shirt. And in any other year would have zero complaints minus the inability to remember our halves should be reversed on the back. However, I can’t be alone in thinking they had built this up to be a special shirt to celebrate 150 years. I was expecting this to be very different, just like the beautiful Port Vale strip this year. Yes, they will clearly release a special anniversary shirt at some point and the team will use it for one game but it should have been our shirt for the entire season. 150 years is a hell of a milestone to reach. Overall decent shirt, disappointed the only thing special about it is in the collar at the back of the neck. A real missed opportunity.
  16. That's what they came up with? They're doing a special pre kit reveal for that? Guess the survey they did was a waste of time. It's okay, just not a 150 year anniversary special.
  17. Bring back Gregg Broughton. The only man who seemingly understood how contract negotiations worked
  18. Strong start to the season. Injuries hit after Christmas. Poor January window. Form falls off a cliff. Good end to the season. Repeat.
  19. Some very odd changes towards the end. Put us under so much pressure and killed what little attacking intent we had. No words for Dennis, a very expensive risk which backfired massively. Another disappointing end to what looked like a very promising season. Lord knows what summer brings us and what final day drama we will be involved in next season.
