Woodrow is an odd one. Prolific with Barnsley, not great with Luton. This squad is capable of top 6 with Eustace. Fascinating to see how he fits these two in with his system.

I don’t think I could handle another deadline day O’Brien scramble

It’s been a crap window, there’s no two ways about that. Lewis Travis backing the boys and leading the charge in his interview doesn’t change that. He’d be a pretty poor captain if he didn’t do it. Kargbo is an underwhelming signing because he’s an unknown and Rovers were a side screaming out for players who can hit the ground running and solidify our top 6 credentials. Our injury crisis only made us more desperate. kargbo could be fantastic and we could sneak one or two more signings through the door in the next three days but this window has still been expectedly underwhelming. I don’t think playoffs are beyond us. This squad has proved they can win and compete with the best in this league and I have far more belief in them and this manager than I have in our last few capitulations. A win tonight can spark some much needed momentum but the teams around us have strengthened and the trailing pack behind us have caught up. We could easily finish 5th or 16th. That’s what’s disappointing. Once again we didn’t take advantage of our great Christmas league position. There’s no chance Eustace isn’t peeved of by that ala JDT.

Monza are rock bottom of Serie A, 7 points from safety with 2 wins all season. I would argue Rovers are the more appealing option IF we can afford him.

Sounds like Kargbo is done and dusted. Just have 4 and a half days to sort the visa out. Hopefully should be long enough.
