On Cantwell, a luxury player that performs when the environment is right for him. He’s looked at his best playing passes in behind the back line. Our current predicament? Nobody is fast enough to get on the end of them, or more to the point, even bothers trying to get in behind. Couple that with 2 midfielders who despite being solid, never look up and pass forwards in Trav and Tronstad, I’m not sure how a player like him fits in with us. Might be one we have to chalk off as a poor fit, depending how the next 4 months go. Could imagine him playing the number 10 role at Burnley with Koleosho, Sarmiento, Anthony etc. running in behind fullbacks and looking like a class above the championship. Same at Leeds with Gnonto and James. There’s no doubt there’s a good player in there, we’re just not seeing it.

Rubbish, of course it matters when you sign them. Average points to be a playoff team recently is 74. We need 10 wins and 2 draws from 19 games to do that. We’ve already lost a very winnable game at the weekend due to lack of options and poor recruitment. We have 4 more games before the end of the window, if we lose them 4 due to squad depth, that then leaves us needing 10 wins and 2 draws from 15 games. Season over at that point.

How much later can you wait than 3 weeks into the window? Shoddy, pathetic, embarrassing recruitment from all involved. Again.

Teams around us are now spending money and strengthening, even West Brom have spent best part of £3mil on a midfielder! Looking forward to Chaddy’s reasoning for that, good players only become available later in the window?

Doesn’t really matter as it’s only a good signing if your manager, DoF and Head of recruitment all agree on it!

JDT was the one, a striker away from promotion and an FA Cup semi final. Played the best football in the league and would’ve won the playoffs for my money. What they did to him and us that season was absolutely criminal.

Not sure there’s many places for Eustace to go were he to leave. It takes balls to leave a good salary to become unemployed in a market as competitive as football management. Half a season (if that) at Birmingham, kept us up with the top scorer in the league and then (complete guess here) a mid table finish with us. We know the inner workings of the club, but were he to leave does: - Half a season at Birmingham - Staying up by a couple of points - Mid table finish Warrant a top end championship job? When the likes of Dyche (multiple promotions), Cooper (promotion), etc. are out of work? We know he’s a good manager, but I’m not sure many outside clubs looking in will take that long of a look at him.

Pretty simple, original diagnosis is carried out on the pitch and then in the dressing room. ‘Does it hurt here?’ ‘What’s the range of motion?’ ‘Can you twist this way?’ They get a pretty good idea of the grade of tear it is before a scan, a scan is purely confirmational. They knew yesterday what he’d done and now he’s had his scan and it’s confirmed as an 8 week job, all being well.
