Not sure there’s many places for Eustace to go were he to leave. It takes balls to leave a good salary to become unemployed in a market as competitive as football management. Half a season (if that) at Birmingham, kept us up with the top scorer in the league and then (complete guess here) a mid table finish with us. We know the inner workings of the club, but were he to leave does: - Half a season at Birmingham - Staying up by a couple of points - Mid table finish Warrant a top end championship job? When the likes of Dyche (multiple promotions), Cooper (promotion), etc. are out of work? We know he’s a good manager, but I’m not sure many outside clubs looking in will take that long of a look at him.

They knew yesterday what he’d done and now he’s had his scan and it’s confirmed as an 8 week job, all being well.

As a player, and a former player that’s now a physio, you know, what a hamstring injury looks like. If you feel it, it’s too late, there are no ‘precautions’ with it, it’s either pulled or it’s not.

That’s a minimum, done his hamstring. Just depends if it’s a pull (6 weeks) or a tear (3 months)

I agree with most of your calls this window Revidge but I think BTA is a slightly better value than thought at that price. He got his ‘big move’ to Coventry but they have 4 genuinely good strikers and so he’s been a bit of a bit part there. We won’t be far off this season and the way we currently play we ‘only’ need someone to come in and get 6/7 goals between now and the end of the season to make a difference. I’d like a 20 goal man for £8mil to show up (that we should be spending!!) but we won’t. I always think back to JDT, if we’d have got him a man who got 5 goals from January to May I think we’d have been a premier league side the season after. We were the best team in the league for my money the back end of that season, just didn’t have anyone to score a goal.

BTA tore us a new one at the hawthorns whilst at West Brom, will he be a clinical goal scorer? Maybe not, but he’s better than the 2 non-scoring forwards we have at the minute.

Not overly against Wallace if it’s him plus another, like is well known our own CEO said we were targeting pace and power, Eustace the same. He doesn’t have either but is a decent player still.
