  1. You've agreed with every point then said you find what I'm saying weird. We've made a decent start, we're fortunate to have the points we do and we need to make multiple signings.
  2. Nathan Jones is as in the know as my left nutsack. We absolutely still need multiple incomings of first team quality. A home win against relegation candidates and an incredibly lucky away draw seem to have convinced one or two that a team that very nearly went down last season, then sold it's only goal threat is good to go. At least 4 quality signings needed, as well as some not useless loans for backup.
  3. You could argue that two assists in bis first 55 minutes means he's playing below his level.
  4. Off topic but didn't know where to put it... Typical of the club to not have acknowledged Benny's retirement yet - even Shrewsbury yesterday put something up. It's not a huge thing but indicative of how the club has changed
  5. I wouldn't actually feel much, because I'm fairly close to saying fuck it all anyway. Like yourself I don't expect close to the amount of permanent signings we need, and I can't imagine the loans we make will be of sufficient quality. All likelihood we bring in a couple more and spend a season looking over our shoulders, scrabbling enough points together to hopefully avoid the drop.
  6. I see we've circled back to the repetition of a few uninspiring names followed by the "well who would YOU sign?" phase of the window. Of those mentioned... Dembele - no. Khadra - why not. Ayari - meh. We need to be doing far better. 30 goals just walked out of the door. And to preempt the question; I have no idea who I would sign, I'm not a scout.
  7. Please let the rest of us know the acceptable responses to future club developments.
  8. It's just got no relevance to my point, that's all.
  9. Please. Tell me you would turn down your wages being doubled.
  10. I've next.to no confidence in the senior management at the club but anyone saying £10m for Sammie is poor is failing to take into account our financial status. Ipswich knew we needed the money and knew they were the only buyer. Someone said above £15m was the absolute maximum we could have negotiated to and I'd agree. Far more important is how much is now made available for transfers. Assuming Posh take a mil, I'm anticipating maximum of £2m being reinvested.
  11. £5m transfer spend total, I'm gonna say.
  12. Fair, though I didn't claim that. Bodies needed or we'll be in for a scrap, if you ask me.
  13. This was before Markanday left. We have one of the smallest squads, one of whom is out the whole season, a few more are made of glass. In my opinion, we need more bodies to compete.
  14. I'd argue that more players through the door is essential. The squad is desperately thin and contains a few injury prone players. If the window closed now I'd be very fearful of relegation. Edit: spelling
  15. Absolutely he was. But we don't have Benni or Roque now. Roberts would start every game and Sammie would feast.
  16. Now now, I'd bite your hand off for Jason Roberts in this team. Sammie would score 40+
  17. Yeah could be it, that side of it does seem strange to me. I'm not speculating that he's pissed off at Rovers, but he did genuinely seem miffed about something. Time will tell, I guess.
  18. Yeah he's got that side to him sure, but today felt different.
  19. Looked thoroughly pissed off all game today.
  20. Of course the age of a player matters. Idah has significant resale value. Sammie one bad injury away from his career petering away.
  21. It really isn't. A number of things would have to happen in order for there to be another similar opportunity. Don't get me wrong, I don't think we owe him anything, both parties have benefitted from his time here.
  22. Eh, I think that is probably tongue in cheek. Either that or with the long term view of Venkys calling it quits because the money has dried up. If we were in a strong selling position I'd suggest that Sammie is worth at least £15m, but we're broke, desperate and there's seemingly only one buyer. Ipswich are doing what we would do in their place. He needs to be sold.
  23. Siggy and Dolan won't fetch half the fee of Sammy between them. Everyone seems to be forgetting that the club wants to sell Sammie. The negotiating/stalling is to get as much money as possible so as to have to provide less money from India. I said it a couple of weeks ago, Sammie will be sold.
