  1. Either that or think you've got a better chance of being in the championship with Oxford than Rovers next year.
  2. Seeing as there's so little going on I'm interested to hear what people can see happening by the end of the window... Players in; for a fee, loans and freebies. I think we'll make one cash signing (sub £1m), 2 loans and 1 free agent. None of these will start our first game. Go!
  3. I can already see it come September: "Let's just see what these two loanees can achieve, hopefully we'll spend some money in January."
  4. I know he's been hyped as having the same quality as Lamine Yamal, and it's absolutely not the fault of anyone who is pinning their hopes on him but Tyjon is not going to feature heavily for the first team this year. Unless of course they keep selling attackers and he and Leonard are the only ones in the building. Rovers and their PR arm the LET with a masterful dead cat amid the constant shite.
  5. Fair, though I just can't see him rocking the boat. I don't know, he's clearly a decent enough bloke. It's just all fucked and he's an outlet, I guess.
  6. At this point Eustace and his team are no better, enabling this sham. We'll be relegated this year, there's little doubt about it.
  7. Tell me, what bearing does this have on the legitimacy of complains about our club? I'm constantly bewildered by your desire to let the club off the hook. The euros, the backroom staff, others clubs dealings are all extenuating circumstances, according to you. I suppose when you make outlandish claims about expecting multiple signings by this point it's necessary to have excused lined up.
  8. His track record is pretty poor reading but I happen to think he was hamstrung. He had not had the budgets changed multiple times I think he could have delivered.
  9. The only circumstance upon which Southgate's contract should be extended is if we win the thing. He absolutely has his faults but you simply cannot let our first successful manager in 60 years go. Any other eventuality, we should be looking elsewhere. His work regarding the culture of the squad and the mentality is done and that would all be undone with another late exit. Lampard would be an awful, awful appointment and I have more faith in the FA (lol) than that.
  10. He wouldn't have known the extent of the issues at the club, not a chance. What's Birmingham got to do with it?
  11. In retrospect seeing Hendry/Dunn/MGP opening a scrap of paper to nod in faux approval at Telalovic being signed is looking more and more silly.
  12. I'm not overly impressed by the Dutch, I think turkey have bottled this. Granted we'll need to improve again but they're beatable. What a save Verbruggen!
  13. Exciting football isn't always winning football. Very few international tournament winners are buccaneering, attacking outfits. Generally they tend to get knocked out at this stage by a professional, experienced outfit... oh!
  14. Yeah? Turkey have belief, dynamism and incredible fans. To me the Dutch have 3 of the same forward and Simons. Granted their defence is very strong.
  15. I can see turkey winning the lot you know
  16. I'm curious, where would the goals come from, in your opinion? Edit: Has been asked a few times already
  17. Good riddance. Imagine blaming the fans for the state of the club.
  18. "if" I'm not holding my breath. Eustace won't rock the boat when inevitably we sell one or two and replace them with cheaper options. That's why he's their man.
  19. Gallagher providing exactly what he has done so far, energy and not much else. This has been poor, for all the same reasons as the last two games.
  20. First comment on this... The game was underwhelming but a fine start in our toughest group game on paper. Foden looked like he was waiting for City passing patters to open up and I've noticed that a few times he's played. I wouldn't mind Gordon or Eze starting on the left next game. Rice brilliant, Bellingham a monster. I'm not sure about Trent. Obviously I'd love to see Wharton in there but yesterday wasn't the game for it, I feel. I actually thought Trent had a poor game, his radar seemed off. Hopefully Shaw is back soon as Trippier is so right footed, him playing behind Foden made our left hand side toothless. Did Southgate freeze a little? Gallagher did what was needed coming on but I thought someone quick on the left hand side might have stretched the game and given them something to worry about in the last 20 mins. I'm a big fan of Southgate but I do worry that the inability to change the game with subs is a trait of his.
  21. Everything else aside, this is a terrible way to run any business. No wonder we spunk money on shite every year.
