  1. It’s a Peter O’Rourke story, he has been occasionally on the money
  2. Eustace has proven himself capable of grinding out wins based on an excellent defence. There’s every chance they’ll be up there challenging for a top 6 position.
  3. The fact we’re relying on something called SCOUTASTIC to identify players is the biggest revelation of the window so far.
  4. If we’re only signing 3 players then 100% of our transfer business is done ☑️
  5. Weimann was hardly going to say ‘money’
  6. Did we actually offer Batth and Weimann contracts? Or were they deemed too old? IIRC Eustace had to put up a fight to sign them in first place because of their age. I don’t think they fit the ‘model’ cos there’s no sell-on value….not hat we offer contracts to players with a sell on value either mind. Basically we don’t offer contracts!
  7. More likely Rovers aren’t sure if he’s good enough so a 1 year deal with an option. He’s also cheap and can plug a gap on the bench if either of our 2 LB’s get injured.
  8. Even he’s given up on actual names. Dark days for t’rumour mill.
  9. Nobody is signing a 1 year contract if there’s 4 years on the table, especially someone who’s young and untested.
  10. That chap with long name looks set for Oxford. But wait, there’s a new name to get mildly excited about….
  11. I’m going out on a limb here but Gestede might well have been talking shite when he said it was going to be an exciting summer.
  12. The big unknown is what Dolan is asking for. He probably doesn’t feel valued by Rovers based on what they’ve offered, but he/his agent might have miscalculated what he’s capable of getting elsewhere. I can’t imagine Derby are big payers even by Championship standards, but are probably a level up from Rovers, who must now be in the bottom 2 or 3 clubs in terms of salaries.
  13. I’d assume that’s exactly the what’s happening. He (his agent) will have ‘tested the market’, to coin that hoary old phrase, and realised he can get better than the shite Rovers are offering.
  14. ‘No contact’ read ‘recent contact’. They could have offered him a £5k a week contract 2 years ago, the agent goes back and says he wants £15k ( for example) and then no contact since.
  15. According to Derby ITK’s on twitter there has been no contact between Dolan’s agent and Rovers. No idea if that’s true, but it would tie in with the emerging pattern that the club is not engaging with the higher earners over contract extensions, or those wanting to become the higher earners.
