I don’t disagree with everything you have said. As you pointed out, the trust has a small membership base and I believe it will be smaller after the trust hasn’t backed the statement.

I think a statement needs to be put out asap.

I wish they would speak. I can’t force them too.

Reflection When I joined the trust, I wanted to help with social media and the communications aspect. Something which I love and enjoy to this day. I wanted increase engagement with members and on social media. Yesterday, I took the decision to resign from the role because I can’t sit back and allow the club to die. I’m all for trying things; but statements won’t cut it from fans perspectives. They want action, someone to put their views too and I felt like WATR wasn’t acknowledging members views or reading the room. Fans and members alike have reached boiling point. WATR are not a protest group; nor I expect that to change. I don’t wish no malice or distress against other members, but what is a meeting going to achieve at this stage? Have we asked members what they want us to do? Have members been asked if they want the MOU ripped up? If the owners wanted to speak to anyone. They would have done it now. They don’t care about the club and neither do the people running it apart from a few. If Steve cared, we should have got a meeting as soon as the January Transfer window was closed Yesterday could have been great. All supporters group together with one message. Put down the tea and biscuits. Ask members what they want. This club needs new ownership.

I completely understand. I genuinely do. I have wanted to communicate more with members. It’s not been easy believe me. I will not be stopping in terms of trying to get the message out there. I’m going to speak to Glen & see if I can help in anyway too.

I can’r speak on behalf of WATR as I'm no longer a board member, but personally I believe that they want to keep dialogue open with the club to see if their can be communication or some sort of dialogue with the owners to try to sell the club. Ultimately, on a personal level. I think that ship sailed months/years ago. If they can’t speak to anyone in years. Why all of a sudden are they going to speak now?

I decided a long time ago. I wasn’t renewing. The only thing you receive is a big helping of depression at the moment.

It’s hard Glen. I was just having a conversation with Luke, All Rovers. Especially in the last few weeks, I’ve fallen out of love with Rovers. It’s not the club it used to be and we need to keep banging that drum on the higher managements door. People need to be held accountable for this.

It’s something that I will look at facilitating if the need is there for a Whatsapp Channel.

The pressure isn’t stopping by any means. I’m currently working on a comms consultation to find out from members and fans, how we can improve comms, type of content 👀. I will put this on here for everyone to see and give their input. We are waiting to finalise the next date for our MOU Meeting.
