Speak of the devil, I've been well into Make Yourself again recently and am listening to Morning View at this moment.
They certainly don't sound metal to me, but then the definitions of every genre are so sketchy and interchangable.
I had the impression a few years ago when I bought the albums that they were a deeply 'uncool' band to admit liking. I mean Limp Bizkit uncool. Yet every so often I find myself talking to people with a decent taste in music who like them. Are they actually deeply uncool or is that somewhat exaggerated?
Anyway, not a brilliant band - quite a bit of filler - but I think I could make a decent 'Best Of' which would be a good listen.
They have always been a bit of a chicks rock band and never really taken seriously because of the screaming girly teen fanfare that normally accompanies their concerts.
However looking past that I think they have moved from Limp Bizkit cool to Linkin Park cool, you shouldn't actually admit you like them but downloading albums in the privacy of your home is probably acceptable.

Deja Vu is a good film. Typical Tony Scott/Jerry Bruckheimer effort, it doesn't really make a lot of sense but it's superb anyway.
I feel like I may have seen it before
For those who like B grade horror FINALLY got around to watching the cult classic Cannibal Holocaust. It's about 127 years old but the original for the genre of handy cam horror flicks.

I don't think it is an impossible task, as I said, as long as everyone's opinion is valued equally then there is no problem.
If we had enough involvement from board members then everyone could have their picks.
EG. If I think that Matteo is the greatest player I have seen I would give him 1 and therefore he would be given 100 points. If no one else has him in their top 100 then he wouldn't make it.

0-0
They way we are playing we could probably get stuffed in this game but Reading have ahd a good run, time for them to play like a championship side.
-
I think it is because they are not good enough. The premiership is big dollars these days and hence to keep the cash rolling in needs the best talent around to watch.
I understand that mediocre foreigners are probably not the answer but for every Mokoena there is a Tugay.

WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I CAN DO IT WITH ONE HAND
You normally do it with two? And seriously there are much better websites to 'do it' to then this one Abs.
-
See another one I missed. This is why it is so important to gather as many opinions as possible.
-
I put my names together, but there is a shedload missing of the possibilities.
I forgot John Charles for one.
-
2 actually. And they're the greatest female footballers of all time, so I can definitely see why they're on the list. Mia Hamm was a phenom.
Um yeh ok, but better then Van Basten? I would hazzard a guess, even at his current status he would turn them both inside out.
As I said, a disgrace.

You do not have to be in the top league to appreciate and enjoy good football.
You do if you live outside the UK and only get to see Premier League. I couldn't handle not being able to watch Rovers again.
Premiership survival above all else. Of course I still think both Uefa and a top 6 finish is not out of the equation.
-
Pires? Emre? What a strange list.
Add to that Diouf.
What's even worse is that there is no Garrincha or Van Basten. This was Pele's political top 125 which copped an absolute hiding from all centres.
I think there is even the chick from the US of A in the top 100. A disgrace and a waste of time.

I thought the debate might be enlightening. The way to collate would be for people to make their submissions from a 'greater' pool and then points would be awarded. #100 = 1, #1 = 100.
Whichever players had the highest points would be ranked accordingly. It also spices it up on here because we have such a diverse spectrum of contributors. Older, Younger, British, International ect ect.
So your having Seaman and not Shilton?
That wasn't my top 100, I was just contributing some names to a possible pool of talent.
I am happy to work through the collation and come up with a result. We just need an Admin who can keep control of the posts.

Is this possible at all? Maybe a list of a million players to choose from then collate?
-
It seems that a lot of people never expect us to win the Premiership again. What a sad idea.
All we need to win the Premiership is consistency. We know how well the team can play, in best form they can and have beaten Chelsea and the Mancs.
If they can compete like that week in week out then the title would be in reach.
-
He's out of our price budget as he IS being valued at 7 million...
It'll be Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Newcastle or Liverpool who will go for him...
Wow you generated that list all by yourself
Gareth Bale is in no way valued at 7 million. Mad men would pay that kind of dosh.

I think it is overrated, unless you have someone like Henry who is quick with feet and mind then it can be wasted, Luque, Gronkjaer as examples.
I would much rather a ball player who can put players through.
Although he has lost all his pace, is lazy and fat, Ronaldo can still turn a defender inside out when he has the ball at his feet.
Zidane wasn't quick either but left defenders standing still at the age of 34.
-
it says nothing about what type of midfield player he is anywhere?
The Cercle Brugge website says he is a striker and his name is pronounced Stijn De Smet

Saw the Departed on the weekend and although I thought it was an excellent movie, I wasn't aware until I started watching it that it is a remake of the japanese movie Infernal Affairs.
To anyone who hasn't seen Infernal Affairs I would recommend it highly. I found the American version had excellent acting performances but when compared to the original fell a bit short on the plot.
When Jimmy Bags dies on the couch he asks the question to Billy about why he didn't tell the rest about giving the wrong address. Well why didn't he expose Billy?
The answer is because in the original the character was a dumbass that everyone picked on and the Costigan character is the only one that is nice to him and that is his friend. A big part of the story that was left out in the remake.
Also the inclusion of Brown into the storyline ended up making what was supposed to be a tense moment on top of the building into a weak add on. I could see they were tying up loose ends but ended up being a bit silly.
Anywho this will probably win a shedload of Oscars for all involved and probably deservedly though it is a shame that Infernal Affairs was not as highly recognised in the West.
Also if anyone wants to watch gore, gore and more gore then go see/get Feast. Bugger all plot, just a bar full of trapped people fighting monsters that want to eat them.
Very similar to Dusk till Dawn without the comedy

Class act. As long as we can get him the service he needs.
-
I would be happy with a draw. Not long back Basle defeated Manc, Liverpool, Celtic and Juventus in the CL so they are going to be a worry.
I have seen Ergic, Chipperfield and Sterjovski and all are solid enough players.
Out of all of them though Delron Buckley could be the surprise, he was quite good the couple of times I saw him play for Bochum, but hat was some time ago.
Realistically nil all, hopeful of 1-0

1. If the game against West Ham was a five a side, how would your team line up?
2. Who have been your best and worst players so far?
3. From a less than spectacular start, you seem right back on course (Sunday's madness aside)! What has sparked the transformation?
4. What are the strengths and weaknesses of Mark Hughes?
5. Which combo forms your best striking duo?
Brad, Neill, Emerton, Tugs, Benni
Mark Hughes
Strengths man management and getting the best out of his team, weaknesses tactical experience against european competition
Benni and Nonda

from one who gets regularly 'ganged up' on
I didn't know you were into that kind of thing Theno
Absolutely gutted, my prediction was Rovers giving them a stuffing 4 nil and it should have been more.
I have never had anytime for Bolton, I didn't have any feelings for them until now, they are a disgrace.
How their supporters can get excited about them I will never know. If they jag a CL spot I will be waiting in anticipation for a group draw against Barcelona, Milan, Madrid ect. The boring 5-5-0 style they play would be tactically smashed apart by the continents big boys.

Does anyone know exactly where he is from? His ongoing dislike for he board and David Dunn makes me think he could possibly be an ex manager
