  1. As for you Neekoy you are a poster I respect in the main, but why do you support an English club? when you clearly have such a dislike for anything English. As soon as England loose at anything you are their running them down.

Quite untrue Bazz, I love a lot of things English, film, art, tv, literature, comedy, footballing passion of their supporters, backpacking brit women, country landscapes, history ect.

I simply pointed out that the players weren't that good, to which a number of quite parochial Engish supporters agreed.

Besides, Rovers are part of the League that is played in England. I am a massive traditionalist and Rovers to me symbolises football honesty and integrity and history above all else.

There is nothing about Rovers there is not to be proud of and I couldn't imagine supporting another team so wholeheartedly.

I actually have some form of support for a lot of other teams in different leagues but nothing that compares to my love for this club.

  2. Gerrard is one of the best players at club level in the world but has done nothing of note in how many years of playing with the England team.

I get tired of it's not the players, it's the management, it's the tactics, it's the training regime, it's the pitch, it's too much football . The players are simply not that good. Individually, as a team, whatever.

Ask Bilic who he would have from the England team and he would pick one or two players that would strengthen. In fact they just did them twice, why we he need to change anything?

England haven't beaten a team ranked above them in a competitive match for over 5 years. Surewly with the WEALTH of supposed talent they would manage at least ONE measly little victory?

  3. Just got around to Transformers. Really well done.

Michael Bay needs to be shot. He has this incredible sorry horrible knack of adding a kid friendly storyline with a love story with incredible special effects with some shallow human element in every movie of his.

Crap movie, great special effects, Megatron was seriously the biggest waste of cg money, the whole movie you though he was going to kick ass and he was lame.

  4. Has anyone seen the new Tarantino film ? ' Deathproof' its part of the Grindhouse double bill.

It flopped in the US but i have to say i think its brilliant despite shocking reviews.

I really liked it, when it was talked about all of a sudden everyone was an expert in old grindhouse theatre so they have bashed the crap out of it but the car chase scene was one of the best I have seen.

  5. What about the hide of that bloke Romario, he refused to go to training, was an arrogant sonofagun and only ran when he wanted to.

In his heyday, I would have taken him in a heartbeat.

Who cares Beeni can do the job on the paddock otherwise Sparky wouldn't have him there.

I really want to know for all those continually slating our best player if you could swap him for any striker in the world who would it be?

I would have a guess, Bellamy Bellamy Bellamy, however he doesn't want to be here so your ###### out of luck, try again.

  6. Top Gun is class, great rar rar movie with fantastic dialogue

"Maverick, you just did an incredibly brave thing. What you should have done was land your plane! you don't own that plane, the tax payers do! Son, your ego is writing checks your body can't cash. You've been busted, you lost your qualifications as section leader three times, put in hack twice by me, with a history of high speed passes over five air control towers, and one admiral's daughter!"

It is a little gay though as this shows

  7. From Monty Python

Actually a Palindrome is a word or phrase or sentence that reads the same backward. A word would be "level."A sentence would be "A man, a plan a canal: Panama."

Probably the only reason that Monty Python bothered about confusing everyone about palindromes was that one of them was called Michael Palin

Wasn't that the idea of the joke? It isn't a palindrome?

  8. I don't think he will replace Henry especially with the board not giving him any funds to get a Torres or Eto, IMHO they still haven't replaced the influence of Viera and their defence is still a little thin because they haven't sufficiently replaced Gallas or Cole.

I think for them to win the title next year they need at least 5 or 6 class players

  9. I don't think he is any worse 'cheat' (which isn't really cheating if the rules allow it to occur) then most other world footballers.

One the most gifted footballers of all time and in the top 2 if not the best foreign imports to play in the PL.

And we haven't even discussed what the hell Arsenal are thinking at the moment, selling your best player, no money given to the manager to replace him or even to buy world class players.

Wenger and Cesc will be the next to go.

  10. Theres a difference, a very big one at that between recreational drugs and hard drugs though.

We wont really know the side effects of long term ecstasy use for a good few years when the previous generation to me start to get older.

If everyone from that era starts going mental, then I shall start to worry

Not many people die from a direct result from taking ecstasy its mostly dehydration or drinking too much water.

    Right.....

Reducing the bodies Seretonin (the thing that helps your brain communicate )causes mood swings and depression, prolonged 'weekly' use doesn't let your body recover neurologically (MDMA changes the configuration of your brain) and will cause permanant fluctuation in moods, attention and memory loss. Guess what else, neurons control sexual functionality.

  11. Your unlikely to get anyone to brake into your house or see young girls lineing the streets for Ecstasy either ;)

Ok, point taken (facetious as it is) however this still doesn't take away from the difference in time it could take to kill you and someone hyped up on the combinations of ice and ecstacy can cause much more anti-social behaviour compared to tobacco.

Tobacco doesn't make people suicidal, overtly aggressive or sexual.

  12. Tobacco and alcohol are far more dangerous than ecstasy.

I will agree with whoever wants to legalise drugs if they can give me the daily dose limits for safety?

Ecstasy? Cocaine? Heroin? What is a safe amount to take on a daily dose without long term side effects?

There is a major difference between the responsible use of alcohol and ecstasy. There is no responsible use of ecstacy.

And as far as tobacco goes, still haven't anyone break into my house for money for a cigarette yet. I don't see young girls lining streets selling their bodies for a smoke.

Tobacco is a long term killer, highly addictive, but its gonna take some time to get you.

Phenethylamines, Inhalants, Alkaloids, Stimulants, Opioid etc can get you the first time

  13. I hope people take notice of this when on about the 'media bias'.

That's a very positive article from our point of view (it makes a very good comment regarding Pearce's thoughts on Micah Richards) from a paper I usually detest.

What an example for all young footballers out there, and I am not just saying that because he is a Rover. He was pure class in that interview and Pearce should offer a public apology.

  14. Is no-one else slightly embarrassed by Bentley's actions? I certainly am.

Don't get me wrong, if it benefits us next season then I'm all for it. However, a player pulling out of an international tournament for England because they are 'tired' is unheard of.

I know not for England but what about Ronaldinho and Kaka?

No one is on their back, and it is the Copa America not some silly under 21 comp.

There shouldn't even be any under 21 competitions, most of those players are playing regularly for their club sides and in teh case of some are better then players in their national team..... Cristina, Rooney

  15. What about Didier Agathe (the never-ending trial...). What a right-back he could've been.

And Ahmed Elrich - although he was only invited on trial - what has he done at Fulham?

To think Agathe (and I rated he bloke) was linked with Juve, Valencia and Roma at the same time.

Elrich is a mystery, he had a serious knee injury in 06 and even for the national team (which he seemed to outplay everyone) he has never been the same.
