Die Hard 2 and 4.0 were pretty ordinary, the plot holes of 2 were a killer and 4 was just plain stupid. It was so over the top, and not over top good, over the top dumb.
*SPOILER*
There was not ANY reason to keep the girl alive other then to keep the plot going, just ###### kill her.
Worst.badguy.EVER.
*END SPOILER*

Some of the quotes from the start of this thread are classic
.surely micheal gray is one of the top 3 english left backs in country.
You kind of went on to answer your own question anyway, but he'll be behind Ashley Cole, Wayne Bridge and J'Lloyd Samuel in the pecking order for left back, I guess Phil Neville will also be ahead of him although I wouldn't do that myself.
Bridge, Cole, Samuel, Carragher, P.Neville, Le Saux and Parnaby I think are infront of Gray for that left back spot for England...
Maybe Thompson and Stead can be included in the England squad if they perform well this season...
Hindsight is definately 20/20

I know where he is coming from though, as I still can not get over Buzz Lightyear.
Hans Gruber did make that movie though, if it was anyone other than Bruce Willis being the star, Rickman might well have stolen the whole thing.
I think his portrayal of The Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Prince of Thieves" is worthy of a mention, as it was pretty much the movies only saving grace.
Hans Gruber was great I just can't get over him being in the top 20 FFS. I know I sound like I am getting worked up over this a little too much but it just annoys me when fanboys flood the voting on these kinds of things.

Scathing
Callaghan was on the list though. Jake LaMotta isn't a movie character.
Fair enough on LaMotta and Schindler then, I didn't see Callahan first time round....
What about Brian Cohen, Begby, The Princess Bride, Ann Darrow or Major Reisman
I don't want to be too harsh here there are some very memorable characters in film but Donnie Darko, Martin Blank, Jack Dawson and Marge Gunderson...please in the top 100
-
Tyler Durden and Hans Gruber? Seriously?
98 was Charles Foster Kane? Yoda higher then Jack Sparrow or The Dude? ET at 74?
No Dorothy Micheals, Tony Manero, Jake LaMotta, Harry Lime, Oskar Schindler, Tommy DeVito, Blondie or Harry Callahan?
Fan boy jerk off list.

They only went bust a few years ago didn't they? How have the managed to get back in the Champions League so quickly? Is Seria A that ######?
No, you are talking about the old Fiorentina, this is ACF Fiorentina.
They purchased the naming rights and everything about the club including shirt design. This club has essentially been around since about 2002 and started in Serie C2 and has gained promotion every year.

Anyone know why Derbyshire didn't play for Olympiakos??? Is he injured, or dropped by the new coach?
EDIT
I should say, he wasn't even in the squad according to http://www.skysports.com/football/match_fa...3190164,00.html
Gioddamit, if he was here he would be starter

I was similarly un moved, however I flicked around and ended up watching the Athletic Bilbao Europa League match on ITV 4, and it was a really good game. Bilbao where terrific to watch and have plenty of skill, pace, movement and refreshingly a home grown team of players born local and playing for the name on the front of the shirt rather than the back.
They demolished a poor side, but unlike Liverpool, they did it with style, creativity and flair. If you get a chance to watch them then do. They are like Arsenal but without the nasty streak.
Also, I believe I saw a future star, 16 year old Iker Muniain (Maybe he's known to the FM lot?) he was outstanding. A second striker who was a cross between Xavi and Arshavin, took his goal very well and generally impressed from start to finish.
Remember the name IKER MUNIAIN
Another one for the memory bank is Kléber Giacomace de Souza Freitas

Why, Hughsey, you need to be mounted?
by a strong and powerful man no less
-
Guess it had nothing to do with the quality of players at his disposal?
Anywho, my point wasn't really isolated, it was overall, who can ever be allowed to forget 5 -1?
I think is showed just how well Sven actually did when McClaren failed so miserably with the same players.
-
What are you talking about? Sven got bashed by the media for playing Hargreaves in midfield in 2006. He defined him as a player, the press thought he was useless. It was only after that tournament that he was considered a quality player. People laughed at me when I said he was good and deserved to start. People used Hargreaves as a reason to berate Sven (Why has he picked him? He's rubbish etc)
Got to agree, I remember at the time "he plays in a tinpot league"
I actually thought Sven did quite well with the England team, there is such expectation as there will be this time around but seriously, pound for pound, there are about 4 or 5 other nations that are better.
Sven couldn't work miracles but he took them as far and as close as they were going to go.
McClaren on the other hand, reminds be of glorified Kidd.
It is difficult to understadn how some of these assistants who work under some the greatest managers of all time never are able to step up

I was just clicking things on youtube and found this. I live in Australia and this is kinda what I pciture it to be often.
How long ago was this?
If this was in Australia it would have been news everywhere
-
the director said he wants to have a break and do something else, and then come back to Batman.
You can mention his name Flops
He is doing Incpetion with Decaprio which is wsci fli flick so prob another two years in production
-
Dance Flick is just awful.
My god man, the Wayans brothers "magic" (see one trick pony) died in 2000
I guess you won't be camping out for White Chicks 2 tickets?
-
Both need to be banned from Carling Cup for this year and next, play closed doors for a number of weeks and handed massive fines
-
so its exactly like french and italian films then?
I think Divorzio all’italiana and Amelie would have something to say about that
-
Had a brilliant game. Pity we never played him in his proper position.
and as Captain no less........
-
Anyone seen and have any views on Gomorrah?
Yep, great flick
It is European mafia, not American mafia if that makes any sense? The whole style of the movie is similar to what you would get from French or Italian cinema without any comedy.
-
Getting into a lot of Ingmar Bergman lately, watched Wild Strawberries and Fanny and Alexander years ago and was going to get more into him but kinda forgot. Rewatched them and the Seventh Seal, The Magic Flute and Through a Glass Darkly and glad I watched them when I have a bit more appreciation for film instead of just car chases, blood and guts. Absolutely brilliant cinema.
-
Some furious defending of the indefensible by our convict cousins of their countrymen but it doesn't wash.
Average player earning a ludicrous wage, just like most of the rest.
meh....
Could have been any player who was in the same position, there is no reason to defend him because he has nothing to answer to the supporters of Blackburn Rovers for.
-
The problem with Lucas (as perceived by many) is that he said it was NOTHING to do with money and all to do with ambition, bettering himself and wanting to play in the Champions League. He then basically spurned Liverpool who were in the Champions League to go to West Ham who narrowly avoided relegation by cheating the system with Tevez. Some ambition, some betterment.
Granted, but I believe at that point in time West Ham were talking extremely big and had some grand plans of achievement. Hindsight everything has come crashing down but bench at Liverpool on a lesser deal or starter at West Ham with the deal you wanted? Seems pretty easy for me.
-
Did he not fight successfully to clear his name on the drug charges?
He was cleared on appeal 11 May which is two days after my post, wasn't the point I was making though, I said he would make a @#/? Manager.
and very he's very funny on Special 1 TVI think he is talking about Guardiola
