  1. Lancashire putting along nicely at the top of the County Championship second division. Faulkner looks to be a shrewd acquisition. Got a good feeling about Giles. We really need to keep hold of him, I think he's capable of creating something lasting and good. We need to stop being a yo-yo side and start challenging for the championship again.
  2. It should be Vaughan. Best Man for the job
  3. Raid 2 was epic, maybe the best action film I've ever seen. 71 was a good thriller, great action and holds your attention. A British soldier becomes separated from his unit in northern Ireland at the height of the troubles. Sleepless night, great action film that had some twists in the tail, Keeps you interested right until the end. A cop steals a drug lord's cache of merchandise and in return the drug Lord kidnaps the cop's son. Well worth the watch. Fury, brad Pitt world war two tank epic as they go behind enemy lines trying to push back desperate German rearguard. Wasn't expecting the awesome ending which was pure win. District thirteen, free running stunts on steroids with no wires or CGI. Story takes a backseat but the action kicks so much ass you won't care. lavender hill mob. Found it hysterically funny, a real treat
  4. Yes, Giles does not inspire any confidence in me at all, Moores previously failed with England, why should we get him back? Let's turn it upside down a bit, see what change falls out
  5. What would he have been taking? His problem was that he had the speed but was firing it all over the place. I'll admit, he's improved out of all recognition, but he's always been capable of doing that
  6. He walked, he wasn't removed
  7. Graeme Swann said there's no issue with Pietersen since he was re-integrated. I'll tell you the root cause. Alaistair Cook. He should stick to batting.
  8. You can't get rid of Pietersen, that's madness. They guy's a genius. The selection policy in all formats has been completely wrong. So let's get the coach and selectors sorted out first.
  9. thank God it's over, what an absolute bloody nightmare
  10. The main problem appears to be a lack of patience and/or laziness. Anyone on a pushbike weaving in and out of traffic as you could see in part of that footage, really needs their bloody heads looking at, especially in London, which isn't the most cycle-friendly place in the UK anyway. Some cyclists are also seriously lacking in awareness and just plain road-sense, and also will only really stop if they absolutely have to. Incredibly annoying. But then you see the fella in the Audi get out and lamp the cyclist, smart move that in London, with CCTV here there and everywhere. I think the problem boils down to lazy inconsiderate ignorant aggressive idiots who think they're special cases, regardless of what mode of transport they're using. Personally if I'm in London I prefer to jump in a cab or use public transport. Just seems much easier to me.
  11. yes, but I'm not so sure it's a lack of technique as much as the fact that mentally they're all over the shop. can't wait for this tour to be over so I can get back to watching lancs
  12. you either love or hate cricket. you can hate it, but come to love it. but once you love it, that's it, it's with you for life. it's a great game, in all its formats. there's nothing quite like it 10cc had it right. even this tour hasn't changed the way I feel about the game
  13. you don't like cricket thenodrog. we understand. great. now @#/? off
  14. Or an England fan who'd spent thousands flying over there to see that nonsense.
  15. When he was captain he tried to get rid of the batting coach ... who was Flower. I think Flower should go also. England go onto the field with the wrong approach of trying to strangle the game. Cook can't stand up to Flower for whatever reason. England need to get back to basics and drill them in big time and forget micro-managing diet and all of that nonsense. A mung bean curry ain't much help when Johnson's sending down howitzers.
  16. Apparently Flower wants rid of Pietersen. Is this the end of KP? If it's him or Flower that has to go, I can't see them binning Flower.
  17. Administrators not bothering to go out on the pitch.
  18. You can have a comment from me about that. Unsporting, cowardly, sullen.
  19. mayne I'm a sore loser dave cos I cannot recall individual examples. but then it's monday morning and I hate my job so perhaps a little difficult to think clearly. with warner he also said a few things about England batsmen looking scared thsat crossed the line
  20. England players indulged in bad brhaviour back home when they @#/? on the pitch. disgusting. whilst I think the aussies were worse, especially warner and haddin, let's not pretend english players are angels
  21. I disagree, broad has done ok and it's not just the management, it's their represetative on the pitch. he's not a leader of men. let's have someone in who's actually got a pair and has a good cricketing brain and it's not just the management, it's their represetative on the pitch. he's not a leader of men. let's have someone in who's actually got a pair and has a good cricketing brain
  22. I'm minded to recall the forty three all out against the wind ies
  23. he did about as well as cook
  24. apparently he left one that was right at middle. tit
