Nixon has said we will replace him. Given he has spot on with Silvester going, Baker in(both part of his story at the time) reported GB was leaving more than a week before we announce it.

    Let's see if it happens.

Nixon can say what he likes, he’s not paying the wages and he won’t be appointing the successor to Broughton.

His seasonal goal tallies are 12, 7, 8, 9, 8 and 5 this season having missed a decent chunk. So 49 in 6 seasons.

His goal record is very underwhelming but compare him to some of the strikers weve had under Venkys. Brown, Telalovic, Ennis, Varney, Kazim Richards, Dom Samuel, Hirst, Goodwillie, Edinho. Hes not one of the worst.

He is now. What he did 5 seasons ago is irrelevant. He didn’t even look like missing chances last season, never mind scoring goals.

Others might but the recent liquidation of Calder Vale Holdings and the lack of transparency from the majority owners on what they did with the (apparent) 100's of millions that were in the bank has upset a few people. Don't be surprised if you here it discussed in Parliament at some point this year. With any luck we could see the wheels fall off the Dingle Express sooner rather than later.

Did you know they pay their celebrity friends to turn up? (Think Tom Brady and his 3.3 pence shares)

Mm, they pay their players but they don’t turn up.

I read this piece and you could almost just change the names and you'd think, yeah, this is rovers. Such a strong feeling of deja vu.

The writer talks about asset capitalism. I think the economic term is rentier capitalism. Sitting back and living off the income of the golden goose.

At least that makes some sort of sense, if you're a beetley little weevil parasite whose station in life you owe to your accident of birth. With venkys they've long since turned the golden goose into glue. Haven't they?

I quoted it in a thread the other day. Sums the Chicken Chokers up a treat.

she probably gives just as much disdain for city than i do,they leave me completely cold,i neither like or dislike them, definately the most uncharismatic winning team ever,on the rugby league, wigan vs warrington in the final, cmon the wire😁

It’s going to be a great final. I wouldn’t like to call it but Wigan usually find a way to win the big games.

  6. My Sunday paper always does an “ end of the season fans review “ of the season on the last day of the season.
The Luton fan has this to say - “ Thomas Kaminski in goal has been exceptional “. . The Crystal Palace fan has this to say - “ Wharton’s signing at £18 million was the bargain of the decade “.

Yes GB did which shows what GB thinks of owners, Waggott and Pasha, and who wanted rid of him. Plus his role from the first season seems to be reduced in the second season.

Just imagine if we would have sign Undav and I'm sure he was the striker we lack for last 3 seasons, we would have made the playoffs for sure. Question is why didn't that happened? not impress with JDT or GB or just didn't want to move up North. Its an area that need to address this summer and Eustace knows this aswell

Also last summer budget change didn't help the situation and it caused us problems with who we wanted to sign striker wise

I agree with @Paul Manipost he made on Friday night in the transfer thread that Waggott and Pasha decided that they changed personal in the Head coach and DoF roles during the January window. JDT rant post QPR game was when they knew it could done after such a performance and QPR battered us then JDT rant meant his days was numbered. (looking back with hindsight)

I was wondering what had happened to Undav - on loan at Stuttgart apparently - 18 goals in 29 games. The perfect replacement for Sammi - then I woke up.

Are we really looking to sign Fleck who will be 33 in August and whose football has been very limited over the last 2 seasons after 2 broken legs and 3 leg operations?

The mind boggles - we never ever feckin learn.  I think someone in our medical department needs to have the  balls to stand up and say this would be a stupid move.

That would be the strangest Venkies signing ever. On a par with my rugby league team signing a player with only one leg back in the day.
I’ll take my hat of to Fleck though, anybody prepared to play football with a plate in their leg has bigger balls than I have. Either that or he has a slate loose.

That was the thing about Dyche, although his teams relied on physicality they very rarely got on the wrong side of the officials. No sendings off for bouncing the ball on an opponents head for instance. Not many stupid shirt pulls or ankle taps on the half way line All their cards were earned not bought.

Yeah seeing that on social media myself. I always thought Cordina’s trainer was Joe Gallagher. Can’t say I follow boxing as much as I used to. One of the most corrupt sports in the world for a reason….. 😂
