You see that sort of rubbish in the media all of the time: displaying a total contempt of due process and appointing themselves judge, jury, and executioner; not just in opinion pieces, but in news as well. I thought Andy Todd may have felled Van Persie purposely as well (but hardly in a malicious manner ... just a minor bump), but he has been found "not guilty" via the authoritative process and we should all (i.e. the media's "moral agents") accept the decision and let the matter rest.

There were some good defences of Rovers at the start of the F365 mailbox, but a whole ocean of anti-Rovers rubbish followed. One person suggested a whole season's suspension for Todd! Come now, even if intentional, it is only worth one match at most.

That's the sort of negative coverage Greece received after winning Euro 2004 (excluding the "dirty" jibe). For some odd reason, if you're not a big team, you don't deserve to win, which is odd. You would think that people would stick up for the underdogs.

I think that was the commentator we got down here. Needless to say, it really did make the game seem like it went for a long time, because I in no way enjoyed it.

I have to agree with this analysis (apart from the harsh analysis of MGP): 1. Neill and Matteo have become undeserving scapegoats. The lengths that some go to bag them is beyond belief sometimes. 2. Andy Todd was disappointing, and I do believe he intended it to release some frustration. Afterwards he looked very disappointed and I think he knows how much he let the club down.

No matter who we play, people always seem to want to churn out negative predictions. Last week it was a win for Manchester United, and this week Southampton is going to beat us. Anyway, does anyone know if there is a radio broadcast for the match for anyone outside the UK? The Radio Rovers one won't be free, I presume, it being a home match, and Five Live cannot be accessed from outside the UK during matches (although I have not checked whether we are being broadcast by BBC tonight anyway).
